Going to LAY a couple today.
Faint Perfume - Way too short (mainly due to the Bart factor)
* Quick back-up on the sharp 500m increase in distance
* Melito meets her 2.5kg better than last encounter
* Silent Surround meets her 1.5kg better than last time
* Miss with Attitude was disappointing in the Vase and leaves a lot of room for improvement
Burdekin Blues - Over-rated and hasn't come back as well this time in.
* Only beat Southerly Impact in only win this prep, who has subsequently ran average on Saturday.

Tintern much too good, came from off the pace to win by a length and a half from the well tried Lord Pindari who battled on gamely along the rails. Looks like the track is playing a bit more evenly than Tuesday. Inside didn't look too bad but it's inconclusive early if there's another fast lane out a bit wider.
Buffett was wide early, and never a chance covering ground.

Buffett was also re-shoed before the start and horses that get that done before the start never win IMO

Agreed.
Disappointing to see that happen to a horse you've backed, can't be good for the horse mentally & physically moments before a race.
