i can't belive that allen pilkington was told that he wasn't allowed to sell his delicious pies & pasties on any part of the property at globe derby from next week

now there is 2 stories going around so i don't know which has more truth in it....the first being that it was a council decision stating health & something about needing a permit to sell goods......the other story was the sahrc wanted him out because they weren't selling all their food as a lot of people would go down & buy the FRESH pies & pasties instead of the 'fast food' that sits in warmers all night & that it was easy just to blame the local council

it wont affect me because being at glenelg i can drive to morphettville on saturdays (non footy days) & get the families pies & pasties then rather than later in the night but i feel for those at gdp that like them are now punished because some dim wit has made a decision that has no feeling or respect for tradition, i can remember getting a pasty as a kid at wayville ffs & the old man reckons pilko & pilko snr were selling them in the early 1960's & possibly the late 1950's


WHOEVER MADE THIS DECISION IS A DICKHEAD WHO HAS NO FEELING FOR TRADITION

I remember buying pasties out at Globe Derby when we used to go to the trotts in the late 80's early 90's,
So 20 years ago!

and who cares he is a dickhead himself i refused to buy his products by the way gdp are there to make themselfs $$$$ not some clown pirating gdp patrons.

with cje it is personel & it all goes back to a race at the old victor harbor track when cje's horse who was very heavily backed & pilko's horse who kept the lead at all cost & pilko's horse got beaten by about 120 metres & cje's horse got beaten on the line.....from that moment on cje refused to buy a pie or pasty & has hated pilko

i can name both horses but i wont as it could/would identify who cje is

Remind me not to piss cje off next time I see him.

Does he go to morphett ville every meeting where does he go the main gate, I miss those pies damn GRSA banning him too

he's been robbing everyone for years, nice if he actually but some meat into his meat pies?

yes vicgirl he'll be at morphettville every saturday afternoon, he is near the entrance gate where the tramline is, also he goes to some sanfl games he is always at alberton & richmond & does make visits to thebarton, glenelg & woodville

yes I remember him and his dad selling pies and pasties at the end of the night at the Dogs.

Never even had a pie because his pasties were very good although I haven't had a 'pilko experience' for a while now.

anyway in protest i will not be at globe derby this week

i have grown up with "pieman" and i introduced my boys to his fabulous product whilst they were growing up so much so that when we went to morphettville on cox plate day both boys first enquiries were, "dad will pieman be there" and he was and i pigged out leaving the course. my lads are 14 and 18 btw

It was said that the decision concerning Pilko was made by the Salisbury Council
The SATC was not not not responsible for Pilko being disallowed to sell his products

i went & watched the hulkster 'battle' ric whooooooaa' flair among other bouts at the rod laver arena & btw the best match of the night was the nasty boys against vampire warrior (gangrel) & black pearl in a street fight & it was great
