who cares really? it's not like any punters on here r going to suffer by not being able to bet on jumps races.
And people are NOT going to stop going to the gallops bcos of NO jumps racing.
Unless i've got a por memorey, Qld, W.A. , NSW and TAS dont have jumps racing and they survive without it so whats the big deal?

They could run pony races at Oakbank instead of Jumps Races and they'd still get the same crowds there bcos for 99% of people that go, it's just about a HUGE Picnic and Booze up, NOT about the Jumps Races.
At least Zama Lads record in the Harry D Young hurdle or what ever it's called these days (3 or 4 in a row i think) wont be beaten. Think it was the ONLY winner i ever backed over jumps. ;)

How bad and boring was the commentator that just called that jumps race at Newcastle? sounded like he was going to sleep during the call.
Might be biased but the Aussie race callers are the best in the world bar none imo.

don't worry about the overseas jumps...
just worry about race 7 at Gloucester Park...

I need the 2,6,9,11 in the quaddie :D :D

As for the Australian Jumps racing..

Bye Bye Warrnambool...
Bye Bye about 4 -5,000 jobs
Bye Bye to about 500 - 600 extra horses a season....

What about these old horses in NSW / QLD / TAS on their mark...
VIC pay $40 - $50k for them.. to put them over the jumps...
it isn't happening anymore.. so Bye Bye more owners..

Yep.. good decision to stop jumps racing..
Port Power has 16 years history at Football Park...

The Port Magpies have 40 years history and the two shall never be confused or combined

2 wins and Quad pays $1,512.90 a bit light i would say. winners $4.50, $7.00,$19.70, $3.10
all up $1923.70
