Its very competitive to get the Gambling dollar
For a TAB not to bet on a race like that is astounding
Supertab, Tasmania, NSW , WA tabs all no doubt bet on it
And I wonder how many corporate bookies bet on it as well

I dont think anyone should be amazed anymore with UNItab, I ditched them 18 months ago and have never had any regrets, surely its only a matter of time before VIC or NSW take them over....

Anyone know if they are prevented from having markets in certain areas because of regulation?
I've always presumed they close early because of government restrictions, but I don't know it.
I'd love to ditch them, but Thursday night down the pub just wouldn't be the same with a laptop on the front bar...

i bumped into a guy that punts down at glenelg and has a system of using jockeys and increasing his stake when they lose
i tried to tell him he needed a computer and interstate accounts - of course he has no computer only foxtel, so his only source of prices is unitab and tab sportsbet or tatts bet
tried to tell him he needed at least a betfair account, but do ya think you could get him to understand
at 5-00pm he was ringing around to see what pub would be open to let him bet on the hong kong meeting till 1-20am

Just doesnt make sense does it, if you are going to risk your own $$$ the No.1 rule would be to get the best price available, the difference between winning and losing is so small that over a year it could easily make the difference between a healthy profit or a loss...

why bet on unitab when sportsbet and sportingbet give you the best of the 3 totes? not that i back many winners, but i havent used my unitab account for 12 months now, the only time i bet on it is when i am at a pub......being married with kids that is virtually never

i agree
i cant understand how someone who is trying to make a living out of punting limits themselves to unitab, it seriously makes no sense at all, as Dutchy said it all adds up over the year and can make a difference to winning and losing.

To add some balance to this, why didn't u show the prices of SportsBet, Centrebet, Sportingbet, Luxbet etc, etc, etc as their odds would probably have all been similar to TabSportsbet.
Of course Betfair would have the Best prices but then again they ARNT a real bookie r they bcos they CANT lose.

Jackpot
Just ask anyone who has several accounts with the Sports Bookies
Thier answer will be that TABSPORTSBET will be very close to the bottom odds for most sporting events
If you dont believe me, investigate for yourself
I can give several bookies to check, but as a matter of recourse lets use the SAFOOTY sponsor
www.sportsbet.com.auVRS
www.tabonline.com.au

My point is
Compare TABSPORTSBET with all the other bookies then
Im prepared to say over a period of a month TABSPORTSBET will run last or almost last
PS
have alook what all the bookies bet for winning the toss in the cricket and footy and compare

We all know that TabSportsbet doesn't bet the best odds, so what?
Not everyone has time or could be stuffed opening up 10 different accounts to get the very best price on every bet they have.
What matters is that Punters have a CHOICE and r happy what they're doing reguardless wether they're maximising their profits or minimising their loses or woteva.
Personally i'm very happy with the choice i have available to me these days compared to the DARK old days (No Foxtel, NO internet, NO phone betting, NO odds displayed in TABs, etc etc etc) and even tho i'm yet to have a Betfair account and i understand that i'm NOT maximising my profits on WIN & PLACE betting, i'm satisfied with my system which works well for me but maybe not for others which is just as well bcos if we were all the same, the world would well and truly be SCREWED!
