Sportsbet question

for all of you who are members, when you place a normal bet over the internet does it go through straight away for you?
ive now noticed that when i now place a bet even a 5-10 dollar bet i get taken to the request page, where you see the timer thing before its either accepted or declined.

i think its pretty ridiculous that even for 5 dollar bets i have to go through this now, im not a big punter and when i checked my account my withdrawals are about the same as my deposits, i know other bookies do this aswell but usually only for large bets, not 5 dollar ones.
anyone else here experience the same thing?

Sometimes Centrebet takes a bit, but Sportingbet is straight away.

its weird and varies from member to member and site to site, unfortuantely the Uk software is starting to hit aussie bookies which limit punters pretty quick

so it sounds like they definately have some type of restrictions in place for punters on particular sports and in some cases like mine every single market is affected
thats not very nice of them

they arent the only ones who do it, other agencies do it as well

I pity those who waste time, money and effort with sportsbet, complete and utter incompetence

In this case I think it is better to keep his opinion to himself dodgey.
These guys sponsor us with free bets for our competitions and stuff and to get on here and bag them is ethicly wrong and I think site admin will agree.

Am I being to precious?

I just know that this is not a way to look after a sponsor.

I dont see MTbet sponsoring any prizes?

True.
Shouldn't bag a sponsor.
I'll admit I've had a few digs at them in here.

But it's their own fault that some of us don't deal with them anymore.
It shouldn't be that hard to provide decent customer service though.

Dear Sportsbet,

I wish to apologise for recent outbursts and criticism of your services.
You are without doubt the premier sports betting company in the world, and your customer service is second to none.
Even with mishaps, such as the not being able to place bets on Melbourne Cup day, whilst your advertisng was plastered all over the race-day coverage (it's only Melbourne Cup day, who gives a rats a$$ about the biggest race day of the year at Flemington), and other transgressions such as suspending accounts for no reason and being unable to place bets, or other misdemeanours such as taking ten years to reply to an email. Other simple matters such as closing my account then not letting me re-open my account, ever.

Please, please let me re-open my account with you. I plead with you.

Please forgive me.

I placed a $350 Tennis bet @ $1.55 with Sportsbet and it was declned so I re-submitted it and was asked to accept $1.45.

Now obviously the price can be knocked off while you are placing your bet except this was at 1.15 am for a game starting 10 hours later

Tennis odds fluctuate every minute G, just look at BF markets

I dont mind open discussion about bookies, they all have their pros and cons, MT has his gripe but has never been specific what it was and Ive offered to assist....

ive had my troubles with them and other bookies just like any business...but at the end of the day they are too valuable to me to make $$$ so I will continue to bet with them.

Pros - Hardly a week goes by without a free bet from them, SANFL service is the best going around, promotions are first class, live chat is always polite and answer my queries and fix problems

my gripe was I tried to withdraw a small amount - $1500 just under 12 months ago.

Rang up to organise my withdrawal, i ring back a few days later to see what is happening as i believed it was ample time for them to have done the deposit. I speak to a woman who looks at my account and tells me 'that i had lost that money' which is a little hard to do if you hadnt placed a bet with them......

i then spoke to a manager, told him i was withdrawing a small amount of $1500 - and he carries on as if $1500 is a huge amount - seriously.

never ever again
