Sportingbet Australia has reviewed the Mackay Jockey Challenge on the 12/04/2010 where J Stanley was listed as a rider but did not complete a ride and the event was abandoned. In good faith will we will pay all clients who backed K Wharton their winnings. These winnings will be entered onto your Sportingbet Account as a ‘Bet Adjustment’ and will reflect in your balance. As this will be a bet adjustment you will not be able to review this in your ‘bet history’ on your account.
Please note for future Jockey Challenge bets, should the same occurrence happen the rules and regulations will apply.
If you have any further enquires please do not hesitate to contact us.
Kind Regards

So how do we take advantage of slow updates in the future?
Well done Sportingbet!
I sent a large email pouring my heart out to them.
I'm sure many others did, and now they've succumbed.

so they should...
if they had cancelled the bets and let you know prior, that's all good, but their problem...
looks like they made a sound and correct business decision...

Geez wouldn't it hurt if you could turn them into some massive amounts of cash....
I think they have done the right thing here, but they say in future their rules will apply. I think that's all well and good as long as they don't pay out the winnings then realise their rules mean they don't have to then take them back!
