Dogs preview 29/6/06 + Jumbo Forrest 13 in a row?

Postby mal » Thu Jun 29, 2006 12:15 pm

Greyhound enthusiasts have to opportunity to view the
Peter Jovanovic star dog JUMBO FORREST trying to win
its 13th consequtive start at Angle pk. tonight.
Bon 'Jovivanovic' is now establishing himself as the best
trainer in South Australia and the word from the Kennel
Foreman our man at the track is that Jovivanovic is regarded
as the most astute muscle man in this state.
Jumbo Forrest was sent over to SA with ordinary provincial
form in Victoria, initially the dog trialled good at Angle Pk.
The dog was trialled at Gawler and went like a crab.
It was then that Jovivanovic used his expertise and checked
the dogs muscles and joints and found the dog had a hock
problem which incidently was carried by the dog throughout its career.
JUMBO FORREST debuted in a low grade event on a wednesday
morning day meeting from box 8 and saluted.
On that day the Late Mal did mention it as a big chance and the
dog paid $8 the win.
The rising 4 year old is now taking all before him.
JUMBO FORREST has a personal best at Angle Pk at 29-73 but
the dog is quicker than that, the track times are always slower
in the winter months so its 29-73 run is the equivalent of a 29-50
run when the track is at its quickest in the summer months.

Tonight the champ is in race7-7 at 8-52 and fingers crossed for the 13 th win.

Great preview mal

I like tonight -

AG

3/1 e/w
4/7 e/w
5/4 e/w
6/8 place
8/5 e/w
10/2 win ****special bet of the night
11/8 win

Treble's 34/238/357 & 4/28/7 for more

Jumbo should win but I go on the theory that the more it wins the closer it is to a loss!

BG Race 8/ 6&7 will run the Q but will be short

mal, I really like your previews. Sharper than a box of tacks.
However, on this ocassion I am going to agree with Dutchy. The Jumbo is due to be beaten, and the (one) is the dog to do it. Gozo Chris can jump on the bunny, and the Jumbo has yet to be seen coming from behind. What ever you do, do not leave him out of your Treble. It could cost big time.
Good luck with your punting. May it rain Dollars and cents.

i thought secret groups were a thing of the past, well not on websites anyway

well the JUMBO'S race is the first 4 jackpot and for $52 you can take the jumbo to win with the field to fill the placings for a .25c unit, but you can get it cheaper.

Thats true the more you win the closer you are to a loss but the JUMBO is flying at the moment and has beaten 6 of 7 competitors in this race in its last few starts. the red dog can jump but if it doesnt it doesnt do a thing!!!!!!!!!

STAY WITH THE JUMBO. I think the kennel mates can be in the first 4 as well.

I wonder when are we seeing Miss Spicy again?

SUMMARY

The specials columns were heading for disaster but we got
some late collects, unfortunately PUNITAB paid the worst
dividends in Australia including
hob6-2 paid $2-50 paid $3-70 on supertab
hob8-8 paid $1-60 paid $2-30 on supertab

the preview did ok 8 bets for 4 winners including
the $5-60 Heinrieks echo, the rest were favs.

Personally i lost tonight but got the late collects to save face.

DUTCHY found the last 3 winners i noticed and 4 out 7 winners.

cheers.

bayman.........

Ah, those days with the Sunday Observer were wild and hectic. What a pity it all came to an end. I tried to get onto this site under the pen-name of "The Observer", but apparently someone else had already taken it. Perhaps they remember the good old days as well. I have been reading this site for quite some time. It appears that you are the Harness guru, along with mal, who dabbles heavily on the dogs (with Dutchy throwing in his thoughts) and some crazy called MT79 who must live in a kennel. I hope he does not have to resort to eating Pal dog food.

Together you seem to havr created quite an interest in all things gambling, and it is good to get several views. In fact it seems there is a Mad Dog guy in England (of all places) who somehow does the racing form for Saturdays. All in all, quite entertaining. I hope I can offer another point of view, as soon as I come back up to scratch on all the local form.
