Look if you have $20,000 sitting in the bank invest it on Chelsea
Chelsea absolute montys to win league title, they have a superior list to any in English football even with the likely departures of duff and del horno. the addition of ballack and shevchenko (arguably 2 of the best players the world) added to the existing world class squad, the only thing that will beat them is complacency and I cant see that happening with mourinho in charge. he is the master of taking the pressure and focus off his players with his extroverted personality.
Beter than bank interest $1.40 IS TERRIFIC value for a $1.04 chance..... and only 8 months to wait and you can take your family on an $8,000 round the world trip. We'll see what they say about our gambling addictions then.
*Think what your really gambling with!!!

3 quality teams behind them AG... only need a couple of hic-ups and Man U will get them.
Liverpool are expected to improve and Arsenal are always unknown.

$1-40 is that dyslexic odds for $1-04 ?

What about Spurs?

Don't forget an up and coming Tottenham team that have bought a few good players combined with half the England side (Robinson, King, Carrick, Lennon, Defoe) and a great group of youngsters. Spurs will really push this year after going so close to the top 4 and Champions League last season. They are finally stepping up from the team that always finished 8-12th every year and they finally have some money to buy the top players after signing the huge playing shirt sponsorship deal - top 10 of all time.

they are getting better frosty but can you seriously see them challenging the top 4? not for me!!!

frosty, what about lampard, cole, terry, wright phillips- better english internationals than spurs lot, then throw in essien, crespo, robben, makelele and cech in goal...
its a funny game and anything can happen on the day, but over the entire season spurs vs. chelsea - are you serious??? as i said .....only complacency the danger

It is a ridiculous bet - Im guessing if you had $20,000 lying around to gamble, then you wouldnt need the 8000$ profit from the win.

fair enough to get on here and say 'ridiculous bet'. Can you give reasons why they wont win and who will win MDM? or is that just too big a bet for you?

I wouldn't want to tie up 20K for that long.
You could have weekly even money bets with less outlay for the same/better result.

$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

One difference if your weekly bet loses you lose
If Chelsea get beaten in a game you still win the $1-40 year bet.

Because most people on here dont have 20 grand to invest on chelsea - thats why it is ridiculous. If you read what I said, I never said they wouldnt win, just that it is a ridiculous bet, because if someone has 20 grand to put on this type of bet, then there is no way they need 8 grand profit!

Touchy, Touchy.

in AG's defence someone might have $20k in the bank earniing 5% therefore they would make $1000- interest for 12 months and you pay tax on that....with this bet, if you have the guts, you can get $8000- tax free for 8 month investment - im sure the pros would look at it

Never said they wouldnt win - Just stating none of you will put 20 grand on Chelsea to win the title, so why hypothesise.
I just reckon talk about bets that you DO lay, not ones that appear good IF you put them on.
