Hey Guys, Goodwood Handicap this week end.
Like Hayes runner No. 19 Sheidel - ex record & middle gate will mean she'll be forward in the run & drops 3 kgs on last run.
Think Flamberge is way over the odds @ $15 BTW - gate the only query, but he likes to lead anyway, so should scoot over from there, just depends if he gets a 'breather' between the 5 furlong & 3 furlong marks.

Christ, this thing started off looking really good. Unfortunately it's trainer is just a flog.

Women from my work is an owner of it.
Up and coming Horse from Kris Lees stable.
Won the Provincial Championship at Randwick($500k) 3 starts back, then has followed up with 2 big wins.
Then Won at Hawksbury (100k) after drawing barrier 1 on a track you needed to be outside rail. Sat on fence 5th had to drift to outside fence and covered them easy.
Last start went to Group 3 level($200k) at Scone, jumped from widest barrier, sat 3 deep on the lead, over raced, wasn't touched until the last 200m and cleared out easy in good time once let go over some pretty handy horses.
Has to keep improving to win a race like the Stradbroke, but if she draws a gate, she is good value and, worth a little bit each way.
I will check tomorrow their plans and confirm, but they are taking her to Qld.

I could not make a single case for him at the moment.

Prior to our run in the Lightning Stakes (won by Wild Rain, Cashed came second) he told us that it six months time our horse would be "better than any of these". So he's setting our expectation up beyond belief. On Sunday it came second last in a BM56.

Secondly, when it ran it's second run he said "ah, it doesn't handle wet tracks, it seemed to slip around".

Then we got told that it doesn't like running in traffic, yet on Sunday it got sent out on a slow track from barrier 11 with no gear on. The jock (an apprentice) said "it had some get up and go but when I tried to feed it through the gap, it baulked".

The horse continually pulls up sore or lame. You'll note a lot of other horses run week to week, or fortnight to fortnight. Ours and many other horses in the stable have large spells between runs.

So na, he's not doing us a great favour at the moment.

My mate has a small percentage in the horse. Not running in the Stradbroke, depending on how it pulls up from its last run there planning on running in Tattersalls Tiara at Eagle Farm

I have mates in Last Day (and have had others) with him and that is their biggest gripe - how regularly the horses spell or aren't running. I am all for trainers not flogging horses but from what i hear and see with him he is at the complete other end of the spectrum. Best thing they said they have done was sell off Next Day
