Reckon it would be profitable, maybe we should track it on here over the full year

Keen on this thread Dutchy. I think there is a lot of money to be made in golf tournaments - backing outsiders then laying off after a good round or two....
Might start looking at it serously and track my results here too.... My plan will be to lay shorter priced pre tournament and back longer priced pre tournament and then lay/back as appropriate to lock in profits.
There is a guy in the Betfair forum that does it. He bascially backs one so he will get $5-$10k if that one wins, and then lays off to cover his outlay....

agree Mr Willy thats why Im keen to see if I can make a sustained profit over the whole year.
Good results over night Westwood, Jimenez, Choi all had wins, Johnson is all square thru 14, so could get them all thru to Round 2, if Choi and Westwood both win their 2nd rounds they will play each other in the quarter finals so Im guaranteed one will make the Semi's which will provide a huge LAY off opportunity.
Also Tiger was beaten by Bjorn who started @ $200

Geez Dutchy if Choi can get through to that Semi Final that will be massive!!! Would be a huge lay off opportunity... should be able to lock in a $200-$300 profit I reckon....

On pure form of both players, that is not a real surprise. Bjorn won the Qatar Masters by four shots a few weeks back in a pretty hot field.

Westwood and Choi lose
Jimenez wins though and now into $27 to win, will let it ride, playing Ben Crane and should be a good show of getting past him to the quarter finals.

He won 7 & 6! amazing, when I woke up he was 4 up after 4
He has Kaymer tomorrow, might LAY a touch now, but if he can get past Kaymer (big ask) he gets a pretty soft Semi IMO and should make the final.
Spewing about Donald, I almost took him

Rose is one of my favorite players but even he is too short with only a one shot lead and 11 players within 4 shots.
Transitions Championship
LAY J Rose
$35 @ $3.10

Nice one Dutchy.
Was a ridiculous price, like you said, 11 players within 4 shots. Even if Rose shot a few under there was a high likelihood at least one of those 11 players would shoot 4-5 under.
