AFL R3

I think the Saints will be too good for an inexperienced Essendon outfit at their homeground (Etihad) this week.
The near-black odds of $1.80 are too good to pass up- despite the events of the loss to Geeelong, & the draw against Richmond.

At the Dome? If so saints will beat them and its great odds, my theory is Saints are no good at the G (or at least not as good as they are at the dome)
$1.80 to me is outstanding odds.

People keep writing the Saints off (not saying you CK).....1 point loss and a draw is not great but not disasterous. Wont take much to turn them around.

Essendon have not lost to St Kilda the last 5 times it has played them. They were the first team to beat them in 2009. They beat them twice last year, once quite convincingly and then drew with them and beat the pretty easily in the NAB cup this year. All of these games were at Ethiad. St Kilda really struggle against the pace of Essendon because they break the lines and stop the Saints flooding back in nUmbers. I think Essendon will win and it would not surprise me if it's 5+ goals.

Essendon's defence a big worry, with some key players now missing.

Like who. Tayte Pears and Henry Slattery are the only two I can think of. Still have Fletcher, Hooker, Heppel, McVeigh, Dempsey, Lovett Murray, Hardingham. Hooker will play on Reiwoldt with Fletcher to double team. McVeigh usually stops the Titt Rat not sure the defence is the worry. Will have Hille back this week so Hille and Ryder to swap in the forward lines again with Hurley up forward. Have the 6th lowest scored against them so far and they have played two quality teams unlike some of the teams above them. I don't think their defence is the worry!

With Myers also out it leaves you a bit thin for KPP defenders, meaning Fletcher probably can't play loose as he'll have to sit at full back.

Yeah but a draw against us, who would have thought that? especially without Jumpin Jack. I honestly think there shot without Lenny Hayes. He is of huge importance to them.

I had laid off on a multi to guarantee a profit, which unfortunately turned to be only $10. Still a profits a profit. So with that $10 I put on abet for angus monfries forthe first goal. And thank you James gaily he got it without the ball being bounced
