i referred my lad to sportingbet as they offer $100 freebie on depositing $30 or more on joining, apparently there is legislation preventing south australians receiving this and my son gets jack, can anyone shed any light on this

yeah some outlets have restrictions but there are others that dont have this - eg betfair.

South Australian law does stop this from happening.... It is to stop enouraging of gambling.... I think its been in for about 2 years....

however only a few bookies comply with it, sportsbet and iasbet dont.

Easy way to get around it is set up the account with the adress of someone you know interstate, not that Id encourage deception

Or perhaps contact sportingbet afterwards and ask for a good gesture free bet anyway...
