The Champ Black Caviar won its 13th race from 13 starts

Black Caviar started $1-14 with the Bookmakers today
The TABS paid these dividends
VIC...... $1-10
NSW..... $1-10
UNITAB..$1-40

Black Cavair paid a whopping $1-40 on Unitab, providing punters with a massive over for the champ winning

I then checked the dividends of the other runners to see if there was a plonk on another runner
Perhaps someone backed the wrong horse, and was meant to be backing Black Caviar ?

I worked out the % from this race amounted to 100%[instead of the norMAL 115% approximately for th WIN]


I conclude that Unitab have pulled a promotional swifty ?
They have not made any commission deductions on this race
I also understand this was done post race and was not a known pre race determination ?

I dont follow the nags closely , but I have been informed that Unitab has done this in big races in the past as well ?

WHY IS IT SO ?
I think it is a vendetta of sorts against the Corporate Bookies who pay Best Tote odds

There was some calamity at the on course tote at Morphetville today

paid money back, but i saw the 80c divvy on sky straight after the race, obviously had something to do with their ploy which they hadnt envisaged

On course the dividend after the race finished showed a $1-20 briefly ?
Then it changed to
$1-40
$0-80 place
This dividend was displayed for about 15-20 minutes after the race had finished
The dividend then became $1-00 the place

Can someone confirm if on course punters could not collect for these 15-20 minutes due to a MALfunction ?

Unitab , as suggested by Bayman might be fighting fire with fire

It happens a fair bit actually Mal with UniTAB and it is to try and hurt the corporates.

The do it normally more than once a week on a Saturday and normally it is on the bigger races... The just pull their commission....

And yes, I was at Morphetville on Saturday and the race did take a long time to pay....

I didn't back BC though... I had the trifecta BC/HL/B.... one out..... was pretty happy with the $6.40 dividend..... Was hoping for $10 but on well...

i wouldve thought that uni is looking after its shareholders by doing those experiments and at least with uni ive not had a problem in withdrawing funds, unlike sportsbet

I had the tri 5 times, but would've put all that money and more on BC if I'd known it was paying $1.40. Oh well.

I have to take my hat off to Hay List though. What a horse. If it wasn't around in the same era as Black Caviar we'd all be applauding the feats of this horse. Hay List beat the rest of the field by 4 lengths and continually repeats the feat. Shame that it's still running second!

The owners of Hay List must be hating the fact that BC is around! They'd be very rich if it weren't for that absolute superstar.
