Lads the final major for the year kicks off tonight and I always have a crack at the majors - US Open I found the winner but bombed in the British Open. Heres my initial spec bets on some outsiders -

As mentioned before I like putting my main bets on after the first and second rounds so will post them also in an attempt to find the winner at value.

As for Tiger he is at the prohibative odds of $3-00!!!!!! Would you back a favourite at $3-00 in a 132 horse/dog/trot field? I think not, you would want better odds than that, so Im risking Tiger even though he could easily bite my on the bum...anyones esle got any thoughts?

Know what you mean Dutch, but it's hard to go past Tiger considering that he won this tournament at this same course in '99 and for the fact that it will be the longest course in major championship history.
If John Senden can putt half decently, I'd like to see how he would go.

Chris Riley leading at 6 under!!!! - c'mon lad only 54 holes to go!...might keep things interesting for me over the weekend and make my $2 Ive have on him last for a while....a couple of others are doing OK also...

Looking ominous with the Tiger now Dutchman, 12 for 12 in major championships when leading going into the final round. Maybe it might be unlucky number 13?
Mike Weir and Luke Donald are still chances though and good ones at that.

yeah I know what Im up against - with Donald and Weir in it up to their eyeballs I could lay off on Tiger and ensure a profit if one of the three win but I always risk him so will continue to do it! hes got to lose sooner or later!

IVe put a small bet on Olgivy also at 17/1 as I like the way he is hitting it at the minute and could easily make a run.

been out all day and just logged into my account to find an extra $128-00 in there, I put on a 4 leg H2H multi on the tournament for $10- and 3 of them were all looking good last night but Id given up as I backed Chad Campbell to bet Davis Love. Campbell was 8 shots behind going into the last round so Id conceded.

Anyway Campbell shoots 6 under and Love shoots 4 over giving me a 10 shot swing and seals the multi win!

so after doing the sums I won the princely sum of $17- for the PGA
