As yet no one really knows what Betting products will be used
Will Tasmanians have to bet on Unitab products ?
Will Tasmanians still be able to bet on Super Tab products [currently they bet almost exclusively Super Tab products]
Will the current Tasmanian Tab staff lose their jobs ?
Will Evolution Rewards [a Tasmanian tote commission based rewards thingamajib] continue ?

My enquiries have been unsuccessful in trying to fund out the proposed product range ?

Is the Tasmanian tote bailing out ?
They lost a reported 20 million + with their unison with the now defunct Sports Alive Corporate Bookmaking mob
They have made a reported mess up paying extravagant commissions to a man known to be perhaps the biggest tote investor in the world

Unitab and The Tote merge

Tasmanians will be able to bet on ALL Unitab products
They were aligned with all the Supertab [Victorian TAB] products
That means they will be linked to our Unitab products = should be extra in our pools
That should mean more pools in Quins, exactas, trifectas, pick 4s, trebles, and quaddies

By the time it kicks in Tuesday Im tipping the Tassie punters will be peeved
Tasmanians will have their Evolution Rewards finish up as well , that will not impress them

will betfair which uses the tasmanian tab now be another unitab account?

Spoke to Betfair spokesperson this morning and he said NOTHING has been organised at the moment in regards to the Quaddies etc but its HIGH on their priorities list to get done asap.
-They are in early discussions with Unitab but havent ruled out running their own Quaddies

Speech express you talk to a computer = Reward Points
Putting bets thru the Internet = Reward Points
Ringing up an operator to place the bets = NO reward Points

The rate of commissions for speech express a while ago was about :
7 cents per $10 Invested
On weekends and Public Holidays the rate goes up to about $10 cents per $10 invested
Dunno if thats changed since the merger ?

The points are accumulative
Points are redeemed twice yearly , once about this time of the year, the other usually about Melbourne Cup Time

NSW has similar with the Number 1 club, for all bets internet/phone

via the thetote.com.au previously could source formguiges for the gallops, trots and dogs. i used the dog form for nsw, qld meetings, now that punitab have taken over, this has disappeared into the abyss
