Interdominion starts next week in Perth. Not that anyone would know.
Having it in Perth at one of the WORST tracks in Australasia is a disgrace.
The quality is looking very shallow.
Appears to be no NZ runners going there. Who could blame them?
Kinda defeats the purpose of the series.
Results of heats and Final will be decided by barrier draw.

I prefer this Interdominion traditional series than the one they have had previously

Agree. Great to see it back to its old format.
The fact that Lennytheshark was such a short priced Fave for the Final says something about the lack of depth in this series.
Got beaten tonight which creates interest for the Final at least.

QUALIFYING HEATS
27/11
1/12
4/12

FINAL
13/12

3 heats in 7 days
Then 9 days off before the final

CURRENT FORMAT A GENUINE TEST ?
Might be a good carnival for the human beings to watch
But what about the horses ?
The qualifying period of 3 runs in 7 days
I ask the question how often do trainers make pacers race 3 times in 7 days ?
So is this an absolute true test of ability ?
Add to this is the heat factor being a summer tournament

NEW FORMAT
Could we have 2 qualis and a final
Each race spaced 7 days apart
Make it a 21 day carnival instead of 16 days
More prizemoney and perhaps more importantly horse safety ?

We already have a new format, they do it at Menangle.

The traditional Inter format is a test of the trainers/drivers/horses ability to get enough points, qualify for the final.

Good format 3 heats and Final as far as im concerned,

Final placings 3 - 1 - 10

Hardly surprising at all as the barrier draw basically dictated that would be the way it would be.

Boring race. Only move in the race was Avonnova attempting to get to the death early and after that it was a procession.

Wayville having a harness meeting on friday October 31st.
They last raced there in 1973 , so im tipping many posters on this site have never attended a Wayville meeting.
So why did they move from Wayville to the current Globe Derby course. ?
