Angle Park
Thursday night

heats of the Nationals

race 3 - heat of the distance- 731m

8 zudactyl monelli - should win again. the stayers all race each other week in/week out and this is the most consistent one we have here
4 - cairnlea jet - will give the fav a run for it money
7 - springvale choix is a clear 3rd pick, although the wide draw isn't ideal here
3 - Velocity Lilly - a personal fav of mine, she walks early and then runs on nicely. the top 3 will be too quick for her, but if there is any trouble up front she will be sitting off them ready to take advantage.

race 5 - heat 1 - 515m

the 1,2 look to beat the early leaders here. 7 Honcho Monelli, will jump with them and then muster and should be too good for them. will be short but wins.

race 6 - 515m heat 2

1 Pure Ability on an ew basis, this should be leading and will make the most of the rails and give you a great sight for your money.
im slightly concerned the 8 will be right in the market but, 1 win from 4 starts from box 8 doesn't fill me with confidence and the 5 Nations who will be favourite, im not sure will suited by the draw.

race 8

2- fox gambler - another fav of mine, will find the front here and loves the rails
3 - alpha aoin, a syndicated runner who I thought about getting involved in will appreciate the drop in grade and the fact the 2 will give it clear room early. this should be winning here.
8 - wait there - well suited out wide, should be able to lob handy early and battle on nicely.

HVL RACE 3

2 WHITE MINION $3.62
5 AMLIN MISS $4.47
8 SOOTYS OPAL $6.13
4 SASSY SLYDER $7.57
1 LILY BOSWEL $11.53
6 JANRAY SQUAWKER $17.58
3 SANDY LAGOON $29.76
7 ABLE $36.75

2 will have the pace to lead this field and last run over the 350m was good enough to show can keep going.
5 is perfectly drawn with 6 a wide runner and 4 will move towards the rail and 3 is slow out. Should get to rails with 1 and run home strongly.
8 needs to cross, 6,7 are wide runners. May just be peaking on run.
4 probably one for your exotics, as could really do anything. Could ping the lids and sit outside the 3, or could be steady away early then smash the rail mid race and get caught up.
1 drawn well as does want rails, but box 1 always tough here for first timers.
6 runs a consistent 17.0 but will want to go to outside and others have a bit more pace.

HVL R9

1 DESTINI FLORIDA $3.64
6 SHAWNEE JAGUAR $4.04
2 ZAMBORA ANDY $7.60
3 OAMARU WONDER $8.45
7 BIG DEAL $11.59
8 ADALA PRINCE $15.90
4 KING SIZE SHAMBI $24.23
5 BRUREE GIRL $26.92

1 last 2 starts have shown some real vigor. If repeats that will be winning. Is aided by the 2 begins low out and 6 being the only real runner who will come across. Has the pace and will be finishing off strongly.
6 drawn well with no pace around, should find the lead outside the 1 here. May be a battle to the wire for them.
2 will be motoring home late on the rail.
3 needs to lead to beat these for mine.
7 slow out and will be coming home on the rail late, may get too far back against these.
8 perfectly drawn, may get some luck outwide if any trouble on rail.
4 slow out also and will be running on strong late. Hasn't done much to trouble the time sheets of late.
5 drawn well, but will just struggle to run time for mine.

For those interested in syndication- Punters HQ one of the higher profiled groups has just put up the last of its syndicated runners.
All based in NZ.
All are very well priced. One is $250 - 5%. Another $400 - 5% and there is a 3 dog syndicate at $1600 for i think its 5% in each, might be 10%.
I havent had any runners with them, but mates have. All feedback is very positive.

its Nationals Final night tonight.

race 1 - the 4 is a promising youngster, only the 7 starts, not always clean at box rise. but on ability is clearly the 2nd best runner here.
5 - Tritt Tritt, a group placed runner here, slowish out, only needs clear air down the back and it will roll these.
8 - carltonian - has its quickest time from out wide and worth including in the exotics.

race 3 - 6 Azkaban - another who is fair at box rise, this has untapped ability, however, it does pick and choose when it wants to chase. but on his night will be charging home against these.

race 4 - 2 equilibrium - just sit back and watch this up and coming freak, wont be the best out, will probably be last and widish, will be about 10L off them down the back, and then BANG! if you can watch its last start win, do it, just ridiculous.

race 5 - Distance Final

2 - Tornado Tears just wins.

ill be cheering for the 4 Velocity lilly, the SA representative, she will be moderate away, but she will be running on, the others may be too quick for her, but this girl tries, every single time.

race 7 - National Sprint Final

2 - Big Flood has a great T/D record.

it defeated the 6 Shadale last week, and I think Shadale may be able to turn the tables here. if the 2 doesn't lead, then there are a few questions. the 6 doesn't have to lead, in fact it wont be leading these, but it will be able to capitalise on any T1 scrimmage

Jumped average, didnt really push through, got a slight check that cost it a few lengths, but box 1 390m at Shep isnt the best

Placed a $1 tri on race 6 at Angle Park last night and collected $127 from it, had 1,5 & 6 to run 1st or 3rd with #3 to run second, great finish that looked like I had no hope.

Was gonna be my last bet as I was working my account down to $150 then stopping as my dinner was ready and I was down $16 for the night after putting in $25 on Sunday.

Went in between when he could've gone inside or out and won easy.

It's a mates dog so I thought I'd not say too much about my jaggy win.

I've had a cracking few days on the punt, I don't know whether to keep having a crack while my account is healthy or hold off and not waste it as I'm the chief punter for our pub Saturday.
