OK going to do something different this year, just dont get the time to update during a weekend and with live bets being more and more of my strategy I cant get every bet on here. So going to do a summary of my thoughts of the weekends action on a Thurs/Fri and suggested bets and track them in units for the season, wont be adding much during the weekend.

NAB Cup

Listening to Carlton coach Mick Malthouse its clear they are going to give the NAB cup a shake and have a pretty good draw so I reckon they will go close to taking it out.

Looking at last years NAB cup in Round 1, the team playing in Game 2 backing up after Game 1 had a 1-5 record, with the only winner being Melbourne over the Lions by 3 points.

So Im happy to follow that trend this year with this multi over the 3 games this weekend -

Bullies go into their 2nd year under their new coach, in Game 1 tonight against the Bombers who must be looking forward to hitting the field. Bullies nearly full strength, happy to take the +6.5 in on them getting off to a good start.

Gonna lay a little on the last leg of the multi, not sure how serious Sydney will take the NAB, this bet gives me a chance to win both while ensuring a profit for the weekend.

They don't allow you to multi the same nights games together because the result of the first one could have a major bearing on the second one, or third one...

Reckon Richmond are good things tomorrow night, I know that is hard to swallow, esp for me as Im not a huge fan. But Carlton are still feeling their way with Mick and its going to take time, whereas Richmond should be primed, If you look at their preseason results, despite Carlton making the NAB cup final Richmond had a better set of results.

Good results last night, wasnt going to have a bet today however Glenelg have drifted dramatically to $2.75 and have no real good reason why and hence I think its slight value with 14 points in a 50/50 game

This total is pretty high at LUXbet, 192 at other books, think its a bit high early in the year and both teams have said they are tightening up their defence this year, this total is nearly 3 goals higher than the AFL average score so happy to take the punt that this might stay under.
