BETFAIR OR FAIRBET ?

The UK betting conglomerate has attracted some discussion on other posts
within the Gambling Room.
Here are some of my observations.
I know a couple of people who have done thier arks on betfair.
I know some proffessionals who are feeding of the rank and file subscribers.

I stand corrected but :
The TAB bets about 115 %.
Bookies bet about $115-125 % depending.
Betfair defacto bookies are betting at about 90%. ???still[that equates to a 10% disadvantage]
When you do lay a loser on betfair you pay a commission on that profit[losing more %]
Punting on betfair is about 110 % and a commission paid to betfair on your winning bets.
There is a small advantage as a punter compared to the TAB and Bookies.
That advantage is prevalent if you are a pro who can fleece the amatuers.
If your patient you can make profits, but you may as well go to work.

3 people I know who played defacto bookies all LOST.

Months ago I had an elaborate set up linking me to
Best Bookies[getting on course odds and fluctuations]
Betfair
Tab Internet set ups in all 3 states.
I played the unders and overs game and in about 6 weeks made a very small profit.
in the end I worked 30 hours in 6 weeks, its easier collecting cans.

My advice tread warily, just think if its that easy to win on betfair who loses ?

BUT if they bet for a place at the dogs I WILL subscribe for the fun aspect only.

Hope my advice helps, take care.

agree with your thoughts Mal...it could be very easy to get carried away and lose everyting, if you bet with your head and keep it fun it can be enjoyable and you can get excellent odds and thats what we are about, if Im risking some of my hard earned I demand to get the best odds so I play them all off against each other..betfair helps me with that cause

Good call DUTCHY, BETFAIR is not the solvent green we are looking for.

The set up is ingenious, full marks to the agency for setting it up, but
as the Bayman alwarys says tread warily.

Have a look at this site http://www.bestbookies.com.au
Here is a consortuim of bookies betting on selected events in australia.
If you subscribe you will get the fluctuations on the bookies prices.
You can bet on those bookies prices at all hours on perth trots and races.

is that why you have a place system, you hope they lose but run a place!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

at MANGLE PARK today a good one for BETFAIR players was PROUD AND FREE in race 8 it was fav or second fav, the dog is an open class dog but doesnt go a yard at ANGLE PARK, one to put in the black book for future BETFAIR plays.
