All Cup chat and tips etc here .. Looks to be plenty of legitimate chances this year, albeit some will need a decent slice of luck.

Leaning toward Protectionist at this stage, but still got a bit of study to do.

I have really liked Lucia Valentina for a while now
Her run in the Turnbull and Caulfield cup wer fantastic was absolutely flying home in both. Think the long straight at Flemington might be right for her late run.
Also like Protectionist - she has all the right credentials and will be right in it

With 10 races to look at you've got plenty of homework to do! ;)

Hehe as you well know (you're doing the punters club at the pub this year to?).

There's some decent roughies this year that could provide value if they have a bit of luck .. Saw $101 for Gatewood this morning which I reckon was overs, reckon I'll have it among my 1st 4 options.

Really started to warm to Falkner, reckon he has been trained for this race this year and will be cherry ripe.

Going to be a bit different going to Cup celebrations tomorrow after going to them in Perth over the last 3 years. Over there the pubs open @ 7am for the first and are full by 8.30am. The cups run and won before the first jumps @ Ascot and by 2pm there are brawls everywhere.

Huge day on the piss.....

Admire Ratki my main win bet.
Each way investments include Araldo, Seismos, Who Shot the Barman.

Genuinely shocked that Signoff hasn't been backed heavier with Moreira on its back. He's only doing the 1 race then pissing off back to Hong Kong straight after.

This is a raffle if I've even seen 1 for the cup (it always is). Favorite paying $7 there is shit loads of value with heaps of horses....

I am looking at Junoob, Who Shot The Barman and Signoff for win/place.
I'll throw them all in a trifecta and first four with Admire Ratki, Seimos and Fawkner.

i have zero idea about horses, and i usually find it incredibly boring, but i do like gambling, so i have just thrown a small amount each way on protectionist, junoob, and admire ratki. just because :D
