i've just done the early form for friday before looking at replays tomorrow night & doing my markets but i'd suggest if you have bulging walletts r7 no1 'the upper crust' it'll just win regardless of being first up but it will be very short just roughly i'd think 1/12 but it is better than bank interest

the $1.30 was gone when Seal left last week, Damarell might bet is $1.01.... and the second fav about $2.10...
Port Power has 16 years history at Football Park...

The Port Magpies have 40 years history and the two shall never be confused or combined

How does Betfair work? I have an account but never really paid attention to betting/laying etc?!
Any1 care to give me a brief run down. I understand Laying something is betting that it wont win - yes?

How did you get the #1 at 1.72 then?

MDM

basically BETFAIR is betting with other people and you can either be a bookie where you lay things, say things dont happen or you can be a punter and shop around and punt on something winning.

DUTCHY obviously found someone willing to lay the fav at $1.72 and he charged!!!!!!

there is always someone willing to lay the favs in any race, i made a few $$$$ at the local TAB this arvo with casino greys laying the favs and 2nd favs.

so an example ashes series i think the TAB SPORTSBET have CENTRALS at $1.47-$1.50 well they cant possibly win so id put up $1.65 etc
