I believe that 2 of the leading experienced greyhound trainers are in a dispute
and will end up in the Court Rooms.
Unfortunately I can not name them as I am very good friends with both of them.

The champ has won its last 2 starts under the expert tutourlidge of Hail
Nathan Rooney, the new star in greyhound training ranks.
However the dog won Tuesday at Gawler and the dog is now fronting up
at Angle Park 2 days later.....IT CANT WIN THIS TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Just for the record it is in Race 11-6.

Nathan Rooney as I predicted a few weeks ago will be the new glamour trainer.
The old boss Steve Collins thrashed his dogs, Rooney works them hard but
gives the dogs a break if they need it.
Rooney and I had a long chat before he took over from Collins and we discussed the
over -racing of dogs in particular.
MT79 gave his views as well.

When ROONEY was a nobodY a few months ago with a small kennell he regularly
had discussions with me about his dogs chances, training methods etc etc.

He has a few dogs going round each night, and tonight he got 5 winners.

As mal has mentioned a few months back and even now not many people have heard of him.

He has a good knowledge about what some dogs can and cant do and his methods are already paying dividends.

He has a big future ahead of him and not only does he have dogs owned by the Wheeler empire but he has other owners involved as well.

He has a bright future, and you can start following his dogs with a little more confidence then you could when his father in law was in charge!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
