short but sweet tonight,
r1 2 will win for multis 3,5,6,7 with 1 next best
r2 6 will win for the first4 1,2,3,4,7
r3 chances 2,3,5,6,7 top pick 6 & with 7 take on trust as is unreliable but big track & small field suits
r4 only two winning chances 1,8 i have 1 on top just as i dont think it is a clear cut as some others think, from 3,4 the 3 is ready to win but this will be tough for it wait for next time, next best is 10,11
r5 a very open race i have 1,4,7,8,9 as chances with 4 top pick
r6 another open race 1,2,3,4,6 with 1,4,6 top three picks
suggested bet(s)
allup
r1 no 2 win
r2 no 6 win
first4's
r2 6/1,2,3,4,7/1,2,3,4,7/1,2,3,4,7 (cost $60.00 for $1.00)
r4 1,8/1,8/3,4,10,11/f (its too late to work out !!)
good luck on the punt & i hope to see you there

very profitable day for me, it was good to see one of the bookies make a mistake (2 of them) (denis wells) he had 4/1 the winner of race 5 when the other three had it 8/10 i personally had it 5/2 so i was very happy to take the 4/1 & also the 2.05 PLACE ONLY

it was pretty packed there wasn't much room between the outside fence of the track & the tote hall where the bookies were situated, some people were still getting on with a half lap to go !!, they said about half way through there was almost 4,000 there but there was more than that as there was so many freebies/members & life members there as well, kids had clowns (the ones you put ping pong balls into for free) & a jumping castle for under 12's i didn't see anything else but there could've been the crowd were mainly locals/holiday makers although the needy, greedy & desperate (me included) were all there
trying to get a bet on was like the old days us punters pushing over the top to take top odds even a girl said to me hey back to the end of the line i said this is not the tote gorgeous & i have to make a living & the look of amazement on her face was priceless

Almost 12 months ago I dscussed the resurgance of VH with a comittee member.
At my absolute insistance i told him to make it a carnival type meeting
I told him that to expect punters to roll up was not the answer.
We discussed food, entertainment , admissions, entertainment etc.
The commitee is dedicated and looks like they made it a success despite the
competition of various other sporting codes today.
If only other commitees at other more esablished venues would realise the way to
pack racecourses is to, provide value for $$$ through Entertainment etc.
BAYMAN what did Little Bayman think of the day ?

guess who got the gates opened early ??
yep it was me
we got there about 2.15 & were told shortly after by security that the gates open at 3.00, no probs we'll wait here & listen to the cricket but within 10 minutes the cars had banked up from the gate way back to the road (about 80 metres) so having the racebook already with me i rang the secretary & got his wife & she passed on the message & within 2 minutes the gates were open
