gdp,

r1 chances 1,2,4,7 i think 1 is almost a good thing
r2 chances 2,4,6,7 top two 4,7
r3 2 on top but may not cross 1 who is the danger, for multis 7,8,10 with a rough hope to 4
r4 7 a good thing from 1 & for multis 2,5,8
r5 interesting race main winning hopes 1,3,4 from 2 & a rough place hope to 7
r6 top two 5,6 from 2,3,7,(9,10 who both have to overcome tough handicaps)
r7 3 on top from 6,7 with next best 2,9

good luck on the punt
i thought secret groups were a thing of the past, well not on websites anyway

Great day at Victor yesterday (got back my Saturday night losses) - Big disappointment of the night was Bayman pulling out of a big night out...

Race 1 - I think the 1 will get crossed, but the race lacks depth, chances are 1,2,4,6
Race 2 - Top chances 6 and 7 from 1,4,8
Race 3 - Agree with Bayman - don't think the 2 will lead - take the 1 and 2 in multis and add in 3,4,7,10 in for a place
Race 4 - 7 a good thing (not sure about 1 being a certain quinella) but add 1,2,5,8
Race 5 - 1 a good thing from 3,4 and a place hope 2,7,8
Race 6 - 5 and 6 the best chances and place hopes to 1,3,8,10
Race 7 - 3 and 9 on top from 1 and 7 and add in 2 and 10 for a 3rd place..

Suggested Bets
R4 - 7 W
R5 - 1 W

Betfair suggestions
R5 - 4 (don't think it can sit parked and win)
R6 - 3 (non winner)

A few visual art places - was a good night.. even ended up on stage at one venue (my brother and friend copped it for that)
except for Bayman who was meant to be coming in to meet us in town, it was a good night - decided he didn't want to come into town at 12:30am..
Thankfully for me they had lots of favourites winning yesterday, which gave me a good chance to recoup some funds from the night out!! It's also given me some money for a few bets today

On my spreadsheet, I've added $10 more ($40 in total) per race, with $10 on the nose for the first horse.

TOTAL Bet for the day = $240

GLOBE DERBY RACE 7

Postby SCD » Mon Dec 04, 2006 5:58 pm

I'll put it up now, I backed the 3 and it ran last and didn't effect the placings.. SO I am not talking out my pocket but

I'd really like to know where Bad Boy Trump (number 2) went inside the pegs?? All D Hill did was cut back to the inside after the fallen horse, as far as I'm concerned she outdrove A Chapman on Hancock and got inside it..
Bayman can you check the tape (my video recorder is broken at the moment) but confirm/deny that it didn't go inside pegs for us.. because if it didn't - i'll take it up with the stewards...

pegs v rail

Postby bayman » Mon Dec 04, 2006 7:35 pm

this (without seeing the replay yet) justifies what i've always maintained & that is, if they had a rail there would be no 'shortcuts' taken & no controversy etc

the other problem i have is the cheat lane (sprint lane) i personally do not like it

what do you guys think ??
