4 bookies at Victor Harbour
1 bookie at Globe derby

A united commitee at VH
A commitee that takes each other to court at GDP[costing $200k?]

Ive been blueprinting for ages that Bookies should bet place , quinellas, just
anything they can think of, or perish.

Give credit to Rick and the commitee, despite all the competition today
we had
Murray Bridge races.
Port Pirie dogs.
2nd test match Adelaide Oval.
Cricket live on TV.
Nothern based trainers not travelling to VH.
No pokies on course.

Despite this they managed to run a meeting with 4 bookies.
Globe Derby needs to take notice and learn.

Still BAYMAN its stunning a PLACE bookie at VH.

I used to go to ANGLE PARK every week when a bookie Greg Stewart was operating.
Stewart would bet the public PLACE only.
Stewart also bet on sport.
The demise and loss of Stewart meant myself + many others abandoned the track.

Get Dennis Wells out of retirement I say, racecourses need vibrant bookies like him.

AG

what about G. Stewart, he was more of a punter then bookie!!!!!! he was always running to the tote!!!!!!!!

G. Mcatee at strath dogs when they have TAB meetings is up at the tote windows.

a few times during the year id be in the AUD on friday arvo's and you would see the curlys workers running to bet with johnny!!!!!!!!!! you can see where they run because the carpets all worn out!!!!!!!!!

THE MAJORITY OF BOOKIES ARE SOFT THESE DAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They should call themselves 'WENDY'S' all they do is deliver soft serve!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yep, he did start at the Hawks, but I remember him more as a Richmond player. Anyway, play on....
