I loved my Courage Under Fire.... hid six derby wins were special and winning his first 24 starts ... he was awesome..... LPW is the new courage under fire and I would say better than the great CUF... whats your thoughts?

because if you remember when 'the world is at an end' or very similar call frrom desperate dan mileckie as courage under fire lost its first race well this clown (me) had an allup which included a 7 or 8/1 winner a winner at about 5/2 another at about 1/2 so what do you think i did yeah off course i threw it in at 1/10 & it cost me a pultus

from memory if it won i was going to get or would've got over 4 grand (it was the 3rd leg of a 4 leg allup)

so thats why i'm biased i hate the thing

What a win tonight... what great racing at Moonee Valley full stop!!
LPW goes within 0.1 of breaking the track record
The trotters go sub 1:58 over the mile
Flashing Red & Sting Lika Bee fight out a 1:55 race and smash the track record by over 2 seconds..
Great night of racing and why Victoria is miles ahead of everyone else...

their miles ahead as you put it because THE PRIZEMONEY is there if we had/got the same sort of PRIZEMONEY then we'd get the same sort of horses, but while factions go to court & UNNECESSARILY SPEND $200,000.00 there instead of spending it for the betterment of the sport we will never go forward

the first step i'd make is get rid of people who are there for the money & have no REAL HEART in it, ie first to go would be carey & i dont care if someone shows him this as since he has 'taken over' we have gone backwards & at a rapid rate

even scd says he was PUBLICALLY QUOTED AS SAYING 'WE DONT NEED LITTLE PEOPLE IN THIS SPORT' well HELLO !!!
if you take them out there would be NO MEETINGS

I'VE SAID BEFORE GET PROFESSIONAL DRIVERS IN YES, THIS WOULD CREATE MORE CONFIDENCE & GENERATE MORE TURNOVER HELLO !!!! PRETTY SIMPLE THAT

PROFESSIONAL DRIVERS YES GETTING RID OF SMALL PEOPLE NO

you call for professional drivers but to keep the small people, but doesnt the industry run on small people who are owner/trainer/drivers?????

noopy was indeed a trotter that went very well when it trotted it ran some amazing races early on in its career it would gallop at the start miss it 50-80 metres the catch the field & win easily

mt why couldn't you train them as a "small time trainer" & at a tab meeting put the professional drivers on ? just like what happens at the gallops ? ie jockeys

Sorry to rain on this one, Bayman, but I was one punter at the time not unhappy to see the champ lose (BTW, I think Courage Under Fire is still a fair way in front of Lombo, but grant the youngster has plenty of promise) that night. I had a double going, with CUF and three others in the first leg - one of them was Breeny's Fella, who downed CUF at $76. Had three runners in the second leg, with varying returns of $349, $476 and $1500. The middle one got up for me, for a $6 investment, remains one of my biggest returns ever, and I'm not a big punter by any stretch.

Courage under fire was great but I think Lombo will be better!! LPW is a machine and will be a champion. Great to watch superstars going around making the others look second rate. I saw the Flashing Red V Sting Lika Bee race and it proved flashing Red is better as he sat outside the other one and beat it fair and square.

Bring on the Interdom as that will sort them out !!

I think Plunge that you may have the weeks wrong on CUF.. He lost his 1st ever race to a $70 rank outsider in Kyema Kid.. the next week in the Vic Cup (I think it was) Breenys Fells cleaned him up and won at good odds again and it was then that the bubble had burst....
A great horse that should have won a really big one (Miracle Mile / Interdom) but never had luck go his way in those races...
