TROTS TALK drug addiction......

Postby mal » Wed Dec 27, 2006 9:03 pm

A well known harness driver in Australia alledgedly had a drug overdose
a few weeks ago and is back in the sulky driving.
Question is should they give the driver random or weekly drug testing :?:
Also I fear that the safety of other drivers and thier horses will be jeopardised.

Hmn...
Bayman/SCD/AG have you heard as well. :?:

I know all about it Bayman!! and furthermore I know exactly who the person is and how bad the problem actually is...
This is a joke that they allow this person to keep on driving.. the same driver (who will remain nameless) was a very good driver until they was hooked up with a professional punter - they now drive to how the punter wants them to and not to how the horse goes best...

There are Dutchy.. but as Bayman will tell you this punter is a joke - he sets races up so he can bet in them.. he doesn't do form (like you do with basketball) or Mal or MT with the dogs.. he pays off drivers to do what he wants, so he can back the winner - it's a joke..

This driver we are talking about it thinking of quitting their job, because they are making enough off the trots (when 12 months ago they were not.. - what does that say to you??)

I wouldn't have a clue who G Mc is, but it's sure better than having his whole name associated with the topic.

ANOTHER DRIVER WITH A POSITIVE

Postby SCD » Fri Jan 05, 2007 2:49 pm

A SA harness racing driver has been removed from driving this weekend..

This driver had their last drive taken off them on Wednesday and has now had all drives removed for Saturday from what i've been told..

All I'll say is that they are a very good driver and infact she is the leading female driver in SA at the moment... but has now got a positive swab for drugs...

This is not the driver that Bayman was talking about above either.. so it's really quite sad - but good that HRSA are testing these drivers.. I bag them enough, so now WELL DONE HRSA for trying to keep our drivers clean..
