ADAM HAMILTON
Key Interdominion finalist ROBIN HOOD has been cleared to contest the $ 500,000 race
Adelaide has beenabuzz with rumours the Victorian star had a HOOF problem and was
in doubt to take his spot saturday night.
The rumours reached Harness Racing SAs chairman of stewards Gerald lalor, who ordered
a thorouh vet inspection of Robin Hood yesterday.
With trainer Peter Tonkin having taken Robin Hood back to his Ballarat stables,Lalor enlisted
the help of respected vet surgeon Bruce Sidebottom.
"Im still awaiting Bruces full report, but hes meticulous and told me over the phone Robin
Hood was fine" Lalor said...........
Tonkin was furious with the rumours and subsiquent scrutiny of Robin Hood.
" I dont know how this bull.... starts, he said.
" Im telling you now the horse is spot on."
" Sure hes had his problems in the past with a hoof, but its something we manage
and it is not a problem"...........
" THEN EVERYBODY WANTED TO READ SOMETHING INTO ME TAKING HIM BACK TO BALLARAT."
" I was always going to do that. I'd much rather have him back home in his paddock for
the week between the last roubd of heats and the final."

BAYMAN I heard an unsubstantiated story that Robin Hood had a coldie in the 3rd heat
because in fact the horse had a leg injury.
I heard that story before the press release.
The information came from a very prominent harness racing identity
IF THATS RIGHT PUNTERS DID THIER MONEY COLD AND THATS WHAT YOU GET
RACING HORSES 3 TIMES IN 8 DAYS.[as I keep telling bayman
