today my brother & i drove down with 2 trotting drivers to victor & they had a drive in the same race at one stage today, now as we were talking on the way down they both knew they had no chance of winning but were competitive enough to think they could beat each other home so they had a bet on it as to who beat who home the bet was 1 schnitzel & a beer at a pub during the week so the loser gets $25.00 losing driving fee & now now has to spend the best part of $20.00 to pay the bet off, so he/she ends up with a $5.00+ profit for the day

ps this type of betting with these two happens frequently

sounds like some class acts there bayman..... a little bit of fun..... I am sure this wouldnt come into consideration at all during the race.....

well one went past the other off the back (about 450 metres out) & said i'm looking forward to my schnitzel, but yes it is a bit of fun with them

SHOULD BE OUTLAWED, DRIVERS or JOCKEYS found engaging in a bet on a race where they are involved should feel the force of the stewards

theres only one way to stop these things from happening and that is to kick them out the industry..... seems a bit extreme tho!!!!!!1

Yes - Professional drivers..

Bayman - i'm on your side here. (i.e. A Touch of Flair) puts D Douglas on - the horse is going 10-15m better now.. what can we say, put on monkeys and back losers, put on professional drivers and back winners.
