a big betting plunge came off today at gdp in race 6 billy walton was backed from 6/1 into 16/10 with dammerell & i'd estimate that he would've lost around $4,000.00 from what i saw getting paid out after the race, as scd said its form was very good but this stable is a punting stable & its best to miss the price & KNOW than get the price & not know, dammerell also bet $3.60 the winner of race 5 & lost $2,600.00 on it. maybe dammarell will have better luck at the dogs tonight :roll:

He should have kept them safer than that..... great punting.... I love punting stables.... the sport needs them....

i'll say it here as it is TRUE that stable may be a punting stable but it is a cheating stable, & we do not need cheats (this stable has been done, found guilty on numerous occasions & the stable does not care as long as it gets the cash)

outrageous comment AG, what about the punter who is not part of the punting stable and gets cheated?

punting stables ruin racing for the average punter and horse owner

these stables battle away manfully for pittence.......... if they plunge something and it comes off ....well done!!!!!!!! so they should get an advantage over the average punter!!!!!

I agree with both of you guys..

We need the big punting stables... but not cheats like the stable Bayman was talking about that has had 3 positive swabs in 10 years and is alleged to have pulled horses up week after week and then punt them the night they win (at a price)... punting stables like the Tonkins who back their horses at $4 or $5 cause they go up in grade are great to have in the industry - cause they are trying to win races all the time...

i can vouch for that he (scd) has a harem in adelaide, hence the wife moved him to melbourne & grub i'm on scd's side here you can try it if you want but not me or scd
