CBS Game 3 - England v New Zealand

Postby Dutchy » Tue Jan 16, 2007 8:37 am

Well I believe England are overs here at $2.42 on offer, New Zealand were terrible in patches against a weak Sri Lanka team only 2 weeks ago and they come up against an English team hungry for a win and in all honesty have been OK against the Aussies, they just arent in their class...and either are NZ...like England a lot today..especially at the price on offer...thsi should be more of an even money game IMO

i realise the more you lose the closer to a win you are & nz still have a couple of middle order players out but how can you back a side that is mentally gone ? not for me dutch i'll wait & see how the game goes & take shorter odds later in the day
i thought secret groups were a thing of the past, well not on websites anyway

we'll see ag, i couldn't back them as i said they're mentally gone & have no confidence & their only batsman that has STOOD UP is 12,000 miles away there is no value in losing, but as i said i'll wait for later in the day, i know they're not playing australia but nz believe they can beat australia where as england dont so i believe mentally they are better than england & their fielding is definately better than england

Bayman - the key to this one is the value...I wouldnt back England at $1.80, but the $2.42 on offer was rediculous, and can lay off later if needed, remember this is the 2nd best ranked team in the world...as for mentally gone, they have lost 1 ODI game against the world's best and only 5 of this team were regulars in the Ashes series...the ones that were mentally gone arent in this team IMO

NZ off to a pretty slow start....like this a lot...

tipping Vaughan will make a big score...will back him as well...

PS...Did you see any of the Sri Lanka/NZ games??? NZ got bowled out in one for under 100 on a ground smaller than a primary school oval!!!!

yes saw some of the games nz v sl, still from my pocket i could not back england until they PERFORM ranked 2 or 200 that doesn't matter it performance & confidence but as i said we'll know later today if it was value or not

england may be rated as the 2nd best test team but their one day ranking is 8th above the mighty bangladesh, zimbabwe and kenya, new zealand are 4th in the rankings.

new zealand were bowled out by bowlers the quality of vaas and murali- somehow i dont think anderson and lewis would strike the same fear into the kiwis

If we are patient enough NZ will beat EG later in the series.

Sides batting 2nd in morning starts have the advantages making EG a good bet.
$2-42 great bet

Only prob with EG is they have no big hitters except Freddy

Phew!!!!! England obviously had a plan and the ptich was worse than it looked, but if they keep play like that theres going to be plenty of good "in play" betting in these games...felt I was home 10 times today only to still be hanging on in the last over...made my drive home from work interesting!!!

sometimes you just wish you dont listen/watch it and just get the result at the end of the day!

got the cash thats all that matters!
