ADELAIDE CUP HEATS
--------------------------

Some terrific dogs over including the best of all the one and only BETTYS ANGEL.
Unfortunately DYNA UTAH is still off the scene a big blow.
BETTYS ANGEL scorched around in 29-12 last week[3rd quickest time ever at AP]
R9-6 BA has won 13 of 18 runs, prizemoney of $265k

BLIZZARD JACK
-------------------

The ROOBURGER rocket is runnng R10-6

JOHN GRAY MEMORIAL HEATS
-----------------------------------

6 heats being run and named after one of the most affable effervesant characters seen
on a dog track.
GRAY was an early bookmaker at the track[first meeting 20/4/72 I reckon he would have
been there as a bookie]
He was loud, boisterous very self opiniated and a real genuine character.
GRAY was known to roll up quite inebriated at times!
His bookmaking was unique as he predominantly just layed the roughies.
GRAY passed away about a decade ago, but left an indellible affect at AP.
His sons are erstwhlie participants in the dog industry.
Howard GRAY was a formidable trainer here in the 70s[and 80s?] before relocating
in Queensland as a trainer.
HG trained a favourite of mine in the 70s Hypnotic Charm.
Vaughan GRAY is the face of the bookies on course who currently works for PETER
DAMMERELL as a bagman, and did work with GREG STEWART as well[where is he now ?]
VG does a lot of consultive work for the industry, and a nice bloke to boot.

SAXONS BLACK
-------------------

The Troy Murray star pup has had 7 runs for 5 wins + 2 places.
The strong sprinter is being tried at the 600m for the first time [ R6-5 ]
***MALS FORM TIP*** : Just an observation of over 30 years, dogs that start over
a longer distance after relatively few runs in sprints invariably win first up.
I recommend you follow this system for dogs 20 starts or less.
Too many strong sprinters who have 40+ sprint runs invariably dont measure
up over the longer trips.

EARLY MAL
--------------

R2-3 HOWDY DOUG will run on well when clear a good PLACE chance
R8-1 MOOSE MASTER this is a favourite of Dutchys, this draw will be competitive EW

MALWATCH ONLY
--------------------
R6-5 SAXONS BACK over the 600m
R9-6 BETTYS ANGEL best dog in oz
R10-6 BLIZZARD JACK the rooburger rocket.

LAST WORD
-------------

THANK GOD THEY DONT RACE THE ADELAIDE CUP 4 times in 2 weeks

8) well if he behaves like last week i,m stuffed.
box 1 uno, shadow looks hard to beat , but have heard an injury has hampered him.
sargent pepper can give us a trail across ,so i have quiet hopes for a good eachway chance.
we have been giving him a lot of bullring work so i hope it works.

i,m not going big on him thurs but will cover my outlays.

Dutchy gets the treble, smart man followed the FIGMAL watchdog SAXONS BLACK

The ROOBURGER rocket BLIZZARD JACK missed the kick, checked in the run
and still managed a creditable 3rd and paid $3-80 a place, good run.
ROO when he draws a field of frontrunners he will win a race soon.
