AND STAY OUT!!!!!!!! whats everyones thoughts!!!!!!!!!!! You may have the Jacks but we have the Aces......lol.........
TRAINER Paul Preusker and his partner, jockey Holly McKechnie, were yesterday disqualified for four and three years respectively on charges related to the use of an electrical device on horses.
The Racing Appeals and Disciplinary Board said their behaviour was "inherently cruel", repulsed the public and hurt the integrity of racing.
Preusker, 34, who pleaded not guilty to his three charges, was seen by the board as playing the main role in using an electrical device or "jack" on horses he trained at Horsham.
"Jacks" are small electrical devices placed in the jockey's whip, which deliver an electric shock to the horse, adding extra pep to each lash.
The board handed Preusker its stiffest penalty ever for an "abhorrent and dishonest" practice.
McKechnie, 23, who pleaded guilty to her four charges, was found to have been influenced by Preusker, but had "engaged in a joint enterprise" with him.
Racing Victoria Limited investigators caught McKechnie using a jack on Drink Up Mason, during Horsham trackwork on November 14.
McKechnie, who has had counselling and been on medication since the November 14 raid, was also caught using a jack on a horse trained by Nichole Boyd at Horsham trackwork on October 31. Boyd has been disqualified for three years.
