BACKING UP HORSES - BEST EFFORT EVER??

Postby SCD » Wed Jan 24, 2007 1:37 pm

Mal - i've got an absolute beauty for you to go on about...

Whyalla on Friday are conducting 1000m races (x4) for a 1000m final at 4:00 the same day..

Well Jimmy Coby is engaged in these heats at Whyalla and then backs up in race 1 at Globe Derby on Saturday night...

I would be happy enough to back this horse Saturday though.. the stable has a terrific record of backing horses up 2 days running and then going good the 2nd run - in saying that.. 3 runs in 2 days = not sure how that will go...
Port Power has 16 years history at Football Park...

to be fair they are racing over 5 furlongs so it wouldn't take too much out of them

5 furlongs twice = a mile & a quarter (2,000 metres)
