3 of us were betting on my SUPERTAB account having pick 4s and trifectas.

This is what happened on my netbet account :

GOLD COAST DOGS RACE 8. [7 runners]

FIRST 4..... 6-F-F-F flexi bet invest $16 = 13.33%
FIRST 4......F-6-F-F-flexi bet invest $11=

= I forgot to press flexi bet and it came out as invest $11 units
= $1320

Instead of $11 I invested $1320

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh no.

I frantically ring up the supertab, my 2 other mates were stunned.
The operator answers WITH 2 MINUTES TO GO
She wont cancel the bet, not allowed to cancel netbets.
I scream at her " But I can cancel my last bet if I phone up ."
She says she cant cancel , puts me on hold as I ask to speak to the supervisor
She answers
" Sir I talked to the supervisor I cant cancel a netbet,"
I respond
" You are ******* joking gimme the ******* supervisor quick."
They are being boxed.
He answers
" Sir I cant cancel the bet."
I respond
" Mate I got $1320 invested just bloody cancel before they jump."
" No I will not ........

invest $1320

There was $3869-50 in the pool
paid $132-20
means about 23.4 units on the wining numbers[we had 11 $1 units]
would have paid about $165 if we didnt get on [after commission $2040 pool = $165]
we cost the other 11.4 unit holders about $33 per $1 unit[if only they knew]

Supertab by not cancelling our $1320 gained about $264 approx commission
on our bet if they take out about 20%.

That was my biggest bet ive ever put on......

For the first time in ages I went to the pub for a whole night
with the other 2 lads.
We were relieved.
I was OK about it, just peeved off at a lack of common sense in the
matter with the Supertab.
They have thier rules and abided by them, so there is no recourse
win draw or lose and we won $134 which we spent at the pub.

You know what they say MAL....NO GUTS NO GLORY!!...LOL

i'm surprised u didn't notice the error when u confirmed the bet.
Unlike the WA tab website Ozbet where u only submit your bet once, Tabcorp site
requires u to comfirm your bet with all the details including total cost clearly displayed.
Needless to say , i have made the same mistake myself several times. forgetting to
click the flexi box but have fornuatley picked up on it or the bet has not been accepted
cos the bet cost has come to some ridiculous amount and had insuffiecent funds.

I did the same one day at the races after my horse won, I was pissed rang up and put a boxed 4 Trifecta for $12- on but the operator put it on for $5- (cost $120-)...I couldnt remember what I told her....anyway rang up for another bet before it jumped and reliased my account was about $100- less that it was supposed to be then it dawned on me what happened...at that moment they jumped...at the 200m mark I had the trifecta and they stayed that way and it paid $60-...instead of returning $30- I collected $600-!!!

I was touched that day as my horse won at $28-!

sorry boys dont do much betting but if you only made a $134 profit on a $1320 bet then why would you bother putting $11 on it, what would ve you won on the right bet mal??

The $11 would have returned about $14
Favourite won the race, hence the miniscule dividend

FIELD/6/FIELD/FIELD = $120 FOR A $1 UNIT IN A 7 DOG FIELD
we were trying to spend $11 for a 10.9 % share of the dividend
but after the **** up we spent $1320 for an 1100% share of the dividend !!!!

unlike you mal to take 1/10 about things, but in a pick 4 race unbelievable
