well i thought i may as well walk to morphettville & have a day out (without punting), i read in the paper $25.00 for adults & $12.00 concession, i thought the $12.00 for my concession ticket was fair enough (i think the $25.00 is way too much) & got told they dont accept my concession cards here (single father with health care card) in which i replied well they do at the footy both the afl & sanfl, the trotts, dogs, soccer & even the clipsal last week, she said we dont want your type in here (she's thinking i'm on the dole, not that that should come into it anyway) so i told her that she shouldn't be judging people & will be writing a letter to rida & the sajc to complain about her & what she said, she then said as i started my walk back home (no i did not go in) ok then i'll let you in on the concession ticket at which i replied too late sister i'm not going to enter a racecourse again i'll stick to the trotts where the real people are, not people that think they are better than others
i thought secret groups were a thing of the past, well not on websites anyway

They sure do, one of our grubby little contributors has just received a severe reprimand from the SAJC for bringing racing into disrepute

From my visits to the gallops over the years, the SAJC r a joke.
Service is shit, food is shit and overpriced as r the drinks.
Last time i went was a few years ago now and they were still charging
FULL admission price on the gate just b4 the start of the 2nd to last race.
Trots and dogs r free about half way through the meeting.
Still go to trots regularly (still only $5) but the gallops have lost me 4ever.

I was an SAJC member last season - until I realised that it cost me $150 for not much.. For Example - to go to special events (YC Twilight party etc - it was only a $10 or $20 saving for me as a member compared to general public) and there wasn't much else in rewards or entitlements to go - so I didn't renew and couldn't be bothered spending my money on them if I wasn't there - saved it for the trots...

There was nothing ever on for my family to go - they sat there and would go to sleep under the tables (I only really used to go to Morphetville) - and so while I was losing my money most weeks, they got bored - so I got sick and tired of going..

Then I hear about what happened to you - it's obvious they don't want your money.. I mean Caulfield - on Blue Diamond Day cost me $10 for my concession (as a full time uni student) - which they allow at the gallops in Victoria.. and at the trots in Adelaide.. and at the dogs in Adelaide.. but obviously those in charge at TRSA are a waste of space and further to that should be proud of stooging the industry out of all the money they could be making!
Port Power has 16 years history at Football Park...

The Port Magpies have 40 years history and the two shall never be confused or combined

Has anyone heard from another grub?

At all metropolitan meeting the SAJC are putting on a free sausage sizzle before the first race this is seen as there answer to puting on value for the family.
