GLOBE DERBY 24/3/07

Postby SCD » Sat Mar 24, 2007 12:02 am

Yes - Punk will be at Globe on Saturday.... the beautiful A Tubbs is driving and well worth going down to or on or something like that to see anyway

R1 - 9 a special from 3,5,6,8 and maybe 1,2 to fill a place
R2 - Tough race, with 1,6,8,9 the main hopes
R3 - 3 an e/w special from 2,4,6,7,8
R4 - 2,8 on top from 1,7,10 and maybe 9
R5 - 1 and 5 on top from 3,4,7,8,9
R6 - with 1 in front 7 looks a good hope, so 1,6,7 the only real winning hopes, but 7 on top..
R7 - 1,8,10 on top from 4,7,9
R8 - Like the 1 here from 2,5,6,7
R9 - 7 and 8 on top from 1 then 6,10
R10 - 2,4 on top (I think 4 can cross the 2 early) from 5,6,7,9,10

Suggested Bets
R1 - 9 w
R3 - 3 e/w (might be too short to back e/w - but def won't miss a place)
R8 - 1 e/w
R9 - 7 place

Betfair Specials
R2 - 10 gone off and barrier 10 over 1800m.. NO
R4 - 9 gone off also...
R6 - 4 can't see it getting into the race tonight
R8 - 6 too bad to be true last start, might of had enough this prep
R9 - 4 horse is an ant and will be under the odds with D Harding driving
R10 - 1 shouldn't be racing (will prob "slip a crupper" as Jimmy loves to say)

Good luck and punt well

gdp, i'll put what i think (obviously) but bear in mind that if the track is heavy & the inside is always the heaviest plus the inside gets chopped up race by race & then the swoopers are the ones to be on, also be careful of the womens races as they could get driven differently

r1 if the track isn't too bad 3 the leader & winner (this is as far as it can go), main danger is 9 then place hopes to 2,5,7,8
r2 chances 1,6,7,8,9,10 top pick 6
r3 chances 3,4,6,7,8 if g.bell wasn't on 4 i'd tip it on top, great run last week 7 is the best horse in race
r4 2,8 top picks from 7,9,10
r5 well mals pet (5) is the lay of the night because of driver infact i wouldn't be suprised if boof scratches seeing she is on it, other chances 1,3,7,8 DO NOT BACK HER ON THIS
R6 top two 6,7 while the field can sneak third best of them 3,4
r7 chances 1,3,4,8,10 with 8 (a.grubs horse) top pick
r8 only chances 1,5,6 i think with 2 divs backing 1 a place is a smart move
r9 main chances 1,8 with 8 top pick, from 3,4,7 with a rough place hope to 9
r10 i like 5 e/w from 4,6,10 next best 1,2 if it is a swoopers track 10 could be the one

suggested bet(s)
r1 no 3 e/w
r5 no 1 e/w
r8 no 1 place
r9 no 8 win

betfair lay
a.tubbs  dont tell her i said that or i'll be in trouble
r4 no 9 not racing as well as it was
r5 no 5 driver makes it no value & is well worth laying at evens

good luck on the punt

i wonder whether a.grub will be out there to see amy & co ? presuming the meeting goes ahead

BUT REMEMBER WATCH THE PATTERN OF RACING AS WILL BE CRUCIAL TO MOST RACES TONIGHT
i thought secret groups were a thing of the past, well not on websites anyway

LATE MAL
-----------

Too many variables for a confident tip
wet track, track bias ?
women jockeys, not regular drivers of the horses

R1-9 VILLA TIRANO
the track might be bogged down, as BAYMAN said the[3] THE DALMATION
is the leader and should win, but if its bogged down it might be a risk.
Prefer VILLA TIRANO as it will be running on into a PLACE
SCD has tipped this a spesh as well.
PLACE

R6-7 SMASHIN SAMPRAS
simply runs into the exotics despite the draw
EXOTICS

BETFAIR LAYS
-----------------

There is a couple at short quotes in the paper which are big unders

R5-5 URAJOKIN
we all know this is a MALPET but is qouted at $1-40 in the press
norMALly the drivers would be instructed to hold the reins and simply win this,
however it has Gina ding dong not Webster driving the horse tonight.
If we can lay this horse at deep odds on I would suggest lay it
Also a BAYMAN lay

R9-8 LORWING
BAYMAN has tipped this on top but Im sure even he would not consider the $1-50 in the press
Had 2 goodish runs, but is very green
It goes as straight as a West Coast Eagle player on a night out.

I actually think they are the ones to beat
But Im sure if you lay them at $1-50 or less you will make $$$$$ in the long run.

PAPERPUNT
-------------

S. MATSON has a horse in tonight
R3-6 KNIGHTWORKMAN[$26]
I backed this horse during the Interdominion series and it ran a good second
I will punt this in the $5k to a million post.
The stable is known to get long priced winners up.
