BUSH DOG MEETINGS TOO MANY ?
-----------------------------------------

Had a look at the nominations at the bush tracks, very slim fields and nominations
KULPARA about 7 races
BARMERA about 6 races
WHYALLA about 5 races [STRATHISLA LASS ran there and wins in 30-10 ]
these 3 meetings were on saturday, lots of 5-6-7 dog races
STRATHALBYN about 9 races
Strath was on Sunday

With KULPARA and next month VIRGINIA in season now that makes it
harder to fill up all the races elsewhere.
I beleive prominent norther trainer Gary Rawlings is scaling down or stopping
which will make the situation worse.

MOUNT GAMBIER CUP MEETING
----------------------------------------

April 7th and 9th is the Mount Gambier carnival
heats saturday
final on monday for the cup
Never been to Mt Gambier but the word is that club President Barry Shepherd has this place
jumping on weekends.
There are good crowds attending.
I met Barry once at the greyhound protest forum last year, a nice chap.
Good dogs to punt there are SILVER BEE and SHIFTING STORM

MOUNT GAMBIER COURSING
---------------------------------

These meetings are in jeopardy.
I think there is a GRSA directive that a vet must be in attendance at all circle +
straight tracks in SA.
The cost of having a vet on course at a meeting like this is reputedly costing
the club about $1000 to attend
The club will not be able to afford the vet, and coursing might be a memory.
The club I believe can have a vet on standby 15 minutes away for $00000000 on call.
MALS VIEW
Coursing is for 2 dogs in a match race on a straight 300m track
Injuries are very miniMAL
Having a vet on course is a luxury, having a vet on call is feasable and common sensical.
Coursing is good for educating young dogs or dogs lacking confidence in full fields.
Agree with the club on the vet issue.

YEAH GOOD CALL MAL
I GET A BIT OVER ZEALOUS WITH MY TIPPING
I WISH I HAD YOUR PATIENCE
CAN I ASK ASK YOUR EXPERT OPINION ON WHY LASERS FORCE CONTINUES TO PAY WELL ??
IS IT BECAUSE MCAULEY TRAINS THE DOG?? IF IT WERE JOVANAVIC OR MURRAY IT WOULD START ODDS ON EVERY SINGLE WEEK !!!

Mcauley is a good trainer who does well from limited opportunities with decent dogs... most of his dogs are giveaways !! he has trained many a give away to thursday night success

My expert opinion why LASERS FORCE pays well.
Its the amount of money invested on each runner less the TABs
commission of 15%

i have a dog that is i believe under-rated and it probably should be to all the dog experts and it is power by watts, it races in the highest grade week in and week out and generally performs reasonably well and when it wins, it pays very well.
