Haven't even looked at the prices but even if Tiger Woods is only $2 it will still be good value in the major that was made for him and suits him even more now because of recent course lengthening.
Some good value might come from Padraig Harrington, Henrik Stenson, KJ Choi and Chris DiMarco.
Two other sound bets would be Ernie Els (who I think is overdue here) and Vijay Singh.
Also keep an eye on the Argentinian Angel Cabrera who is a player that most would never have heard of but he keeps finishing in the top 16 every year, thus ensuring a return trip for the following year no matter what happens to his game in the meantime.

Nice one ORD, was going to start a thread here...only put on 1 bet before Round 1 and that is a Free $25- bet I got from one of my bookies whick Ive used to put on Goosen @ $26-.

Tiger was about $2.70 to win, I have a funny feeling he might bomb this one, lot of other things on his mind at the moment...I just cant take those odds, way too short in a 132 man field

Most people will know my golf betting strategy and that is to back players 4-6 shots off the lead after Rounds 1 & 2 who I thin can make a charge but still getting excellent odds...will post my bets here after ROund one...in the meantime Go the Goose!!!

Done well there.
Must have been something you liked about his game.

How was Justin Rose at 26$ after 2 rounds. He shared the lead after round 1 and then was only a couple back at half way....very interesting odds.
Well done on a win though.

Heres the 2nd round scores and the positions of the players I backed, as I said I love backing players who are just off the pace as the odds you get are big overs. Odds from Betfair and Tiger was still favourite at $4-00 at this stage...I was spewing Im missed backing Rose at 80-1 pre-tournment as he is one of my favourites. I liked Zach Johnson as he is very consistent, 44/1 was rediculous odds considering he was only 2 off the lead

Second-round scores
142 - Brett Wetterich 69-73, Tim Clark (RSA) 71-71
143 - Vaughn Taylor 71-72
144 - Jerry Kelly 75-69, Vijay Singh (Fij) 73-71, Zach Johnson 71-73, Justin Rose (Eng) 69-75
145 - David Howell (Eng) 70-75, Lucas Glover 74-71, Padraig Harrington (Irl) 77-68, Bradley Dredge (Wal) 75-70, Geoff Ogilvy (Aus) 75-70
146 - Jim Furyk 75-71
147 - Tim Herron 72-75, Jeev Milka Singh (Ind) 72-75, Mark Calcavecchia 76-71, Tom Pernice 75-72, Luke Donald (Eng) 73-74, Tiger Woods 73-74, Paul Casey (Eng) 79-68, Dean Wilson 75-72, Mike Weir (Can) 75-72

Thought rather than make a new topic, would continue this one, as its golf related.

Took two Zurich Classic/Coleman Medal multi doubles:

Jesper Parnevik/Fraser Gehrig at $1114

Bubba Watson/Matthew Lloyd at $182

Longish results, but the favorite before tee-off in the Zurich was $16, so figured it was worth a long term punt!
