I'm still waiting for him to post his Magarey odds. He must be running scared of a sting there and waiting to suss out all the new recruits because he still wont post his market. Apparently it is 2-3 weeks away yet. What a joke - imagine not being able to bet on the browlow until Round 6?

Obviously the weeks are longer in Johnny land than for everyone else. 2 weeks on, round 5 and still no Magarey market.

no wonder he is called JOKEton

John Thornton may never be seen in a betting stand again
The veteran bookie is about to get married in Thailand to a native feMALe
Word is he may stay there indefinitely
He has been missing in action for a while now.

SQUAWQK - bookies would write 1 mag medal bet to every 200 brownlow
medal bets;why spend time on mag medal market when they dont write
a bet - what would you do ???
They have to put in the same time, effort, risk etc for no return.
Get in the real world...............

so astute punters like BAYMAN can back the winner half way through the year at 40-1 when the winner is in front in voting.............

Fred - give my regards to Bam Bam mate, I'm a big fan!

On the topic, that's a fair call but given that he has an SANFL market running, this is surely a reasonable request? If as you suggest the Magarey is bet on 0.5% of the time the Brownlow is, then he is hardly going to lose much money on this market? He could even write out odds for category brackets - 5/1 group, 10/1 group etc. What it really demonstrates is that he probably does no homework for any markets - just pimps the markets of the bigger players (TAB, Centrebet, Sportsbet etc). It would also suggest that he doesn't know how to frame his market for the SANFL when he has no one to copy/pimp odds from which is why (his odds!) seem so popular in the eyes of the users of the Gambling Room!

I'm not a "big spender" - ($115 for example is not my cup of tea other than on the Melbourne Cup but there are a lot :!: :!: of posts on here about bets at that level), so my $10 bet (or 50 baht  ) is hardly likely to send Johnny broke. I like to have a bet to add a bit of interest to the match ups of whatever I'm betting on, that's all.
