PRANGLE PARK
------------------

The track was repaired in time for the Tuesday day meeting last week
A rather unfortunate incident when a somebody/somebodies pranged the track up
Did the instigators get apprehended ?????

MANGLE PARK
----------------

In recent posts a couple of people brought up an issue of the track surface.
One post suggested a track bias or problem
I have asked a few people in the game and boy did I get a drilling
There is a thought that the track was undulating in certain areas and has affected some races.

About 6 months ago I posted the track surface was changed to a clay surface
and that we should be wary of any form changes etc
Well from what people have told me the clay surface is perhaps causing problems of a greater concern.

STAMENKOVIC has had a few dogs with hock and or other injuries
HOCKLEY has had about 6 dogs with hock and or other related injuries
JOVANOVIC would not trial his dogs one night due to a suspect track

They are 3 of the best trainers around, all not happy with the track[they would know]
There might be more trainers who knows.

There is talk of too many injuries on the first turn at headquarters causing this .

I find it purely coincidental at this stage despite a large degree of ardamancy from a few trainers.
Trainers v admin is miles apart on several issues , perhaps its exagerated ?????????????

Also why do the hounds in the USA get between 100-200 runs in thier careers
In Australia about 30-80 per average ?????????????????????????????????????????????????????
different track surfaces ????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

Can anyone shed some light on this one ?

STAIRWAY TO HEAVEN
---------------------------

Its been heaven climbing those stairs to the betting ring and winning the last few weeks
BUT
The stairs for about a month now have been filthy
Today i saw crushed fried chips on the stairs, other pastry type food cluttered into the carpet
Also tissues on the stairs etc .....
I CANNOT FATHOM THIS THE CEO + OTHERS WALK UP THE SAME STAIRS

GRSA WEBSITE
------------------

Going great guns, excellent site, and well worth a look at
Good formguides
Great gossip
Very professionally run
Got a new tipster called Chasers choices which MT79 put up for thursdays preview
I am very impressed.

TAB HOLDINGS
-----------------

TAB lady informs me that holdings on the hounds has gone up in the last few months
Thats good news for the GRSA and will give them some extra $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
MT79 suggests an increase in race prizemonies is well and truly on the cards.
Thats great for the industry and a pat on the back for the admin if thats the case.

ROMEO BRASS
------------------

TIME TO DELIVER

Speaking of times at headquarters, apparently not even stewards and
administrators can agree if the track is currently performing at its optimum.
Several premier trainers made thier own judgement though when they refused
to trial thier dogs at Angle Park despite the track being watered between trials.
The drought might appear to have broken in SA, but trainers complained the track was
too dry and were'nt prepared to risk thier best dogs.
Winning times have been decidedly sluggish of late and the miracle cure of a ''track
turnover'' cant be far away.

MALS VIEW
One would think there is a disconcerting problem with the Clay track.

ROOBURGER VIEWS

6 dogs injured 10/5/07
An increase of 21% injury time
Your speculating tired dogs getting a thrashing for reasons specified

MALS VIEWS

These stats possibly co-inciding with the new clay surface
There is talk that the track is uneven in areas and this maybe a
possible cause of the magnification of more prevalent injuries in 2007
I have not talked to a trainer yet who says there isint a problem
Non trainers predominantly share the same opinions
Good trainers are having dogs injured
Thats a big conce
I thinks its time the reputedly HIGHEST paid administators in the land
make some decisions and fix a potentially diabolical situation.

The admin did pass a great ruling that dogs cannot race twice in 24 hours
Now its time to fix up the track if there is a problem
I still think that its possibly the clay surface [just ask Roger Federer]

well imagine if everybody that was punting on ANGLE PARK not only here but throughout the country would either COMPLETELY STOP or really LIMIT the amount they bet, turnover would fall down and it would be another kick in the guts for greyhound racing in SA, which has been bought upon by the poor admin work. They should stop fighting amongst each other and do whats best for the industry............
