DISSIDENT's Multi-bet thread - round EIGHT

Postby Dissident » Wed May 16, 2007 12:24 pm

Ok fellow punters.

I've been doing some maths this week and might spend a bit more on the multis but have less legs. I believe there's money to be made.

This week's first multi bet is a two pronged attack. This is based on :

Adelaide beating Richmond by more than a little bit
Geelong beating Fremantle by more than a little bit
West Coast beating Melbourne by more than a little bit

Port Adelaide and Sydney being reasonably low scoring (and therefore a low margin). Neither team will get blown out of the water.

HERE'S THE BET:

Adelaide WIN OVER 15.5 points
Geelong WIN OVER 15.5 points
West Coast WIN OVER 15.5 points
Port Adelaide WIN UNDER 39.5 points

$50 bet to return $397

AND

Adelaide WIN OVER 15.5 points
Geelong WIN OVER 15.5 points
West Coast WIN OVER 15.5 points
Sydney WIN UNDER 39.5 points

$50 bet to return $324

[edit]

And if you're feeling game, try a third bet:

Adelaide WIN OVER 15.5 points
Geelong WIN OVER 15.5 points
West Coast WIN OVER 15.5 points
Sydney/Port Either team WIN UNDER 15.5 points

$50 bet to return $476 (PLUS either $324 or $397)

Ive got every 4 team/3teams/2teams combos with involving the following 4 teams to win this week:

Brisbane
Collingwood
Hawthorn
Port

I thought I'd try something similar to a boxed Pick 4 in racing or a System entry in X-Lotto so even if one or 2 miss out I should still do OK.

Actually think thats not a bad bet. Id probably go the third one though, as I think the SS v PA game will be very close.

But if it's a close one - you'd win two of the three bets =) (because one team would win under 15.5 and under 39.5)

Looks quite good Diss, might have a go at all 3 with maybe $10 bets, would still pull somwhere between 160 and 174.6 off $30.

Diss, do yourself a favour and don't include Geelong in a multi every, just when you think they're world beaters they do something stupid, trust me, Ive seen it most years for the last 20 years.
Except for Geelong I do like your first bet.

Apologies to all...

The Crows winning by 9 points rather than 16 screwed it all up :(
