Stewards declared this event a "no race" after the boxes opened prematurely causing the field to gallop to the catching pen area. Acting on their own observations and viewing the relevant video footage, Stewards established that the boxes had opened prematurely due to Mr. D. Hazzard - Handler of Sky Hazzard, inadvertently activating the trip manual starting lever. Stewards declared that all monies wagered on Sky Hazzard be refunded.

Stewards interviewed Mr. D. Hazzard following the Event and determined that the incident was purely accidental, with no intent involved. Stewards issued a reprimand to Mr. Hazzard and reminded him of his responsibilities to show more care in future. Stewards also noted that Mr. D. Hazzard expressed his sincere regret for the incident.

What an embarrasment
ROO was the prizemoney split between the 8 runners or does the club keep it ?
If they dont split the $$$$$ that would be a disgrace
What happens in SA when a no race occurs is the $$$$$ split up amongst the runners or kept?

this is what happens here unless a whole or part meeting can not run as was the case at kulpara a few meetings ago.

They said last night on SKy they are running it next week? thats what I thought I heard anyway?
