MALS PREVIEWS + THE CLAY TRACK
-------------------------------------------

Since the tracks have become wetter the form has become inconsistent.
The surface when wet ALLEDGEDLY becomes uneven in a few areas ???
Several trainers are concerned as are others that I have talked to.
One trainer[one of the very best] is very close to shifting interstate
In view of the shifting track it would be totally unproffesional by me
to give a preview on the dogs.
And off course the ratio of dogs getting injured has increased ???
I personally have been making consisitent losses since the wet has set in
Its time to concede defeat and I wont be punting seriously until the dry
weather comes or there is evidence of the track being back to norMAL.

ROOBURGER
--------------

Happy birthday
And enjoy your trip o/s, make sure you find a i/net cafe and sneak a post in.

YOUNG HECTOR
-----------------

Micky had the dog firing at Strathalbyn, running scintillating times
However I believe the dog was injured at Pt Augusta ????????????
Is it the end ?

SKULL MURPHY
------------------

Our on top selection for the Produce stake won easily on Monday
Won by a metre...kilometre
14 starts
10 wins
2 places
Bob Issacson has retired his other star Satanic Miss, and now Skull Murphy can take over.
Ironically one of the names put through for this dog was Killer Kowalski
KK was a top wrestler many years ago, so was a bald guy called Skull Murphy.
Mick Stewart had a dog called Brute Bernard as well.
Is Skull Murphy the best dog in SA ???????????????????????????????????????????

My 2 suggested EW bets are not worth it
The GENUIS in the Advertiser AGAIN has his ODDS spot ON
Both are quoted in todays press at $1-80
Without doubt the person doing those odds is a very very good odds anayliser

Suggested bets both too short at odds on tonight in paper and TAB
Both ran 2nd
Makes MT79 happy !

be very cautious when punting on the quicksand, because your money is likely to sink as fast as the titanic.

1 - 6 silver streak consistent, good place bet if you can get $1.40 - no good

2 - 5 blacksmith at $15 in the paper, had no luck lately, if gets clear run it could figure in the finish. - got bogged down

3 - 5 madam lash does look the winner - but ran 2nd

5 - good race 1,3,6 boxed in all multi's looks the way to go. the 3 was scratched, the 1 beat 6 for a $3.80 quin and $13.90 exacta

6 - 3 miss helsinki can be placed, not too sure if its a genuine bunny chaser, but does chase other dogs. 7 nitrix would need better then $6 to back it, but its definately an EW chance.

miss helsinski ran 4th

7 - 4 Classic concept doesnt handle this track as well as gawler, but the $7 in the paper is inviting. ran 4th

8 - 2 magic maker and 7 power by watts look the standouts 2 wins at $2.50 and $1.60, 7 2nd at $2.10 with a $12 quinella and $22.40 exacta

9 - 1 wild opal, needs to lead and hopefully it doesnt get bogged down on the rail. ran 4th

10 - 3 bobcat bale - BETFAIR!!!!!! AT $1.80 just lay that all night long it SP at $1.70 I hope you all got on BETFAIR

11 - 8 satanic blaze looks a good place chance ran 2nd

I ventured down to the TAB to put some bets on for tonight. I work out all my bets and its $128, but I only had $90 in my wallet........i decided to have a punt to try and build it up, had a ticket written out for Admirals Lady at vic races but they jumped, it won at $7.80, but nevermind.......the next race Gold Coast trots.....the market had the main chances pretty well worked out, but i did some study and thought the 9 had a chance at odds.....boxed up quinella's and exactas and something i very rarely do is i roved a tri with 1 as the standout from 4,5,9. the result the 9 sprint laned and won at $42 and the 1 - second - 4 third. had $3 on quinella, a $1 exacta and half on the tri!!!!!!!!!

so now ive got my quicksANGLE PARK bets running for more profit.

i backed these individually
1 - 6
3 - 5
5 - 6
7 - 4

and took all ups

races 1,3,5

then 1,3,5,7

then i threw in race 8 - 2,7 into some all ups

but theres more i took races 1,3,5 in all ups, but in race 5 i also took springvale snow, as i believe its the main danger, the only danger.

I also took a sportsbet multi yesterday, couldnt get on here to put it on

AC MILAN +0.5
Celtic win
Real Madrid win
Barcelona win
$44.84/$19

Are you suggesting that they will need a BOBCAT to get my tip out of the quicksand.....
The $1-80 represents very little value
If the TAB or BETFAIR accomodate EW odds then ......

DOG FORUM 12 months on

Postby mighty_tiger_79 » Thu May 24, 2007 3:50 pm

as mentioned in the advertiser today it is the 12 month anniversary of the public forum at angle park.

what a day that was when John 'Kamikaze' Katasaki took control over the meeting and voiced the opinion of many owners/trainers.

also mentioned in the section was the fact that Troy Murray has dogs in the WA DERBY while Jovanovic has 5 runners to the meadows and the fact that 7 dogs were recently sold and left the state which caused noms for tonights meeting to be extended.

as voiced at the forum a year ago was the fact that prizemoney levels are a disgrace and it isnt any surprise to see that good dogs leave the QUICKSAND to greener pastures of interstate money. the GRSA will have approx $1million to play with at the end of the financial year and when this first came up the club were going to pump it straight back into prizemoney, now prizemoney is sliding down the list.

as MAL has mentioned the track just isnt upto scratch and they should move all meetings to gawler and get the track fixed, otherwise dogs will just keep getting injured un-necessarily.

in 12 months prizemoney still sits at a poor level. we used to get the 2nds from interstate, bit now they go to WA and race for unbelievable prizemoney, which ROOBURGER posted on here a while back. Now all the dogs that end up here from interstate are NO GOOD, unless they are purchased by a Jovanovic type trainer for syndication.

in the saints and sinners section to help MALS cause of dogs over-racing in the sinners section punters need to beware of the fact that Cool Rok'n Daddy has been beaten three times in the last 9 days as short priced fav.
funnily though in COOL ROCK'N DADDYS last start he wasnt even FAV!!!!!!!!!!!!

BOBCAT BALE at $1.80 for the place might be the way to go, but its too short for the win.

a few of the slower dogs tonight might need a BOBCAT to get out of the sand

CRAIG COOKS ADVERITISER COMMENTS
-------------------------------------------------

I have never met Craig Cook but really enjoy reading his articles
on the greyhound industry and his columns are very accurate.
However as I have said once before jounos have thier hands tied,
the Advertiser in my opinion have some very good journos but
in a small town mentality cant write EVERYTHING pertaining to an article

here is COOKs article

DOG DEARTH CONTINUES
Trainer Troy Murray has 2 dogs at Cannington on Saturday night for the WA derby heats
including star speedster ROMEO BRASS
With Peter bonJOVIVANOVIC taking 5 dogs to The Meadows on the same night it is little
wonder nominations for tonights Angle Park meeting were extended.
The recent shortage of dogs was not helped this week when 7 capable chasers were sold and left the state.

here is MALS additional comments

bonJOVI recently refused to trial his dogs at Angle Park on a trial night
He was afraid the track was ALLEDGEDLY substandard + did not want to race his hounds

2 leading trainers have REPUTEDLY lost up to 10 dogs through injury[mainly Hocks]

A very very good trainer trialled a dog in 29-70 odd and REPUTEDLY had the dog put down
after the dog ALLEDGEDLY damaged a hock

A very good trainer is wanting to rebase interstate but is giving the club a few
months to improve prizemoney + track surface

Thats perhaps the reason why PJ has his good dogs racing interstate ?????????????????????

My last word, I cant understand if backyard + rookie trainers are having dogs injured
BUT when the best trainers in the state are counting the injuries well hmn.................

_________________________________________________________________________-

All the above is not speculated guesses by me.
They are the words of trainers and people who go to the tracks.
In the 35 odd years of racing this is the first serious glitch Ive heard about
the track, and in general no great issues over the years
I am sure the hierachy will fix the apparent problems, well lets hope so quickly
as I wont be punting seriously there until Im convinced

well i disagree MAL

i CAN UNDERSstand that backyard, rookie trainers are having dogs injured because many of them dont get their dogs checked over after every race or qualy.

My point birdbrain, yes the rookies and backyarders may not have the expertise to know
if there dogs are injury free but JOVANOVIC and a few other top 10 trainers do.
Thats the point good trainers who have trained for decades are getting an injury list as big as SAINT KILDA
And we know why SK gets injuries, dont we DOOM DA DOOM DOOM DOOM

I believe BOBCAT BALE is no value at the $1.80, though it can win, im preparing to risk it at that price, while you have it as a suggested bet, which is no surprise given its $1.80!!!!!!!!

if BOBCAT BALE wins i will buy you lunch on a wednesday down in McQueens Tavern and if it loses then you can buy me lunch!!!!!!!

what do you think MAL?????

well you have given BOBCAT BALE as a suggested bet, yet you dont want to buy my lunch when it loses!!!!!!

well since you dont want to use real money, maybe you should put your balance from the $5k - $1m on it at the $1.80!!!!!!!
