Who gets the brickbat in one of Trottings lowest moments ?
The JuggerMALnaut was unplaced as a $1-20 fav. at GDP
When TJ attempted to reach the death seat, opposition
driver Shaun Adams on Clansman kicked up for approximately 500 metres
to keep TJ 3 wide and in turn destroying both horses chances
TJ finished about 3rd last , C finished 2nd last.
Further reports after the event which I have discovered includes
TJ left in a different yard during the week
TJ had a virus and a blocked sinus [why not scratch the horse ???]
No stewards report on the driving tactics in this race.
Verdict : PATHETIC

SAFOOTY V JIMMY JAQUES.......brickbat....

A few people vehemently criticised popular racecaller Jimmy Jaques after
he failed to get to the broadcast booth for a race in late May.
There was an opinion that he was placing a bet with the on course bookmaker
and was late to call the race.
Just to set the records straight, Jimmy had a family matter to attend to which meant
he had to leave the course between races.
He attended the family matter , there was an additional problem , then he tried
to get back on course but was fractionally late.
VERDICT : Some people need to apologise in that thread.



PORT PIRIE harness racetrack....BOQUET...

Despite a deluge of rain this track came up superbly for the meeting on 01/06/07
I was up there the night before and there were large puddles all over the town.
I personally thought the meeting would be in jeopardy.
VERDICT : The club deserves praise for producing an immaculate wet weather track
