well the oncourse bookie tonight will be going to the bank to get a LOAN
r1 the only shortener was the winner 2.50 into 2.10 (not that much damage
r2 no1 was backed e/w from 10/1 into 6/1 (unplaced), & the 10 was nibbled at 6/1 into 5/1 e/w & the fav no 5 was 11/8 into evens
r3 well the 3 was backed a fair bit, it was 6/1 into 5/2 left in but no 1 was backed by a couple of smarties 12/1 into 7/1
r4 the two that shortened lost no 1 5/2 into 7/4 & no 7 10/1 into 7/1
r5 the only shortener was the winner it was 6/4 into 4/5
r6 biggest plunge seen at gdp for years no 6 was 6/1 into 2/1, i saw them getting paid & i estimate about 8,000 was paid out yes dammarrell laid off & had a grand on it but that did not get close to covering it
r7 nothing was backed, the fav went from 1/4 out to 2/5 but as i said no money for anything
r8 they all drifted no money on anything
r9 the winner was 12/1 into 5/1, nothing else was backed but for those that backed the winner, they then lost 37c in every $ with the non-runner & dammarrell closed betting with 3 minutes left until start time
r10 from what i saw he didn't hold a bet, he opened up with 11 minutes to go & closed with 5 minutes to go & gave himself no chance to get it back

how long can dammarrell last ?
would another bookie or two come in to replace him if & when that happens ?

Get the Crowds Back and you will get the bookies back but i wouldn't hold my Breath on that happening.
The Only way to get People Back to the Trots would be to take the trots to the People ie. the city centre.

He had 1 horse in for the night - and drove it like it was going to be the best horse in the race.. $4 on Supertab was a steal I thought.. I fell over with disbelief at $1.80 about Fire & Brimstone.. WTF?? Joke of a price.. I just wish I could have got on at the $6 somewhere - would have had an even better night....

Mind you Well That's Life stroll in the park cost me a bit in race 4 (i like many others on this forum got burnt pretty bad a couple of weeks ago from barrier 1!!) and it was against most of the same field!!

PD is a survivor he will bounce back.
Its lonely at the trots by himself against very knowledgeable punters.
He would be making $$$ otherwise he wouldnt be there.
