Funny you should mention the Spingvale's - my cousin owns them. Springvale Lucy & Jinx bought for $500- each and have won over $130,000-!!!! and still going...

Give me the Dogs over the Horses any day. As a rule, I don't bet on the dogs, as I haven't done form for years. There's good money to be made, but I can no longer put in the time/effort required to be profitable. In my youth, I could almost select the field in order when running hot, but I didn't know how to bet- I'm not saying I couldn't fill out a ticket, but if I liked something, & it opened up 6/4 or shorter, the house went on. If I liked the same dog in the same field & it opened up 10/1, I'd have $5 e/w.
