Why can't they choose on which games to bet on and when? That is common sense by them to stop betting if they believe the punters have an significant advantage in terms of the ins and outs etc...
There are no rules saying they MUST bet on all games at all times.

Only problem with this theory is those who backed the team at the best price before them being shortented into 'prohibitive odds' then back the other team and the bookmaker loses regardless. If decent bookies operated like this those with lots of money would always win something by backing the outsider into favorite then backing the other team.
I dont see a great issue with them not choosing to not bet on it rather than providing a market with 125 % if they feel the punters have an advantage. which would have the same effect.

Needless to say my $$$$s went on S/TAB and it came 2nd.
Question - Why are Bookies there when they are NOT Serious about Providing a Service???????????????

another grub wrote:agree with JJ and dutchy.... provide a service and at least give us broadcast fluc odds..... fair dinkum how can they compete with the TAB when they are putting up gross unders? and then they winge at thier turnover at the end of the night....
Football is that unpredictable at times..... there is no way I would stop taking money on a game when the odds are in your favour..... just try to balance the books as best as possible.... and if you do lose on the game ...STIFF SHIT!!!! move on to the next one....thats what punting is all about....
