well i only saw the first race live today (haven't seen the rest yet) but the tactics of jock dunlop today was a disgrace, but first i couldn't believe that scott ewen didn't want to go behind dunlops drive at the start, anyway mixed with a twist comes out well & the fav comes out quicker & rolls to the lead with mwat on its back & the race continues like this until there was about 1,000m to go & he came off the fence to sit outside the fav (i knew then he was in strife) now i'd expect the names on robbers list to make this type of blantant error but not a bloke like jock who usually drives well but this was an incompetant drive as he did not give his horse every chance of winning let alone run 2nd which he would have if he stayed on the fence & when he did come off the fence no3 went there & guess where he ran ??????? 2nd & my track spy up north tells me (told me before the race) that the fav beats mwat when working together by about 25 metres
so why the hell did he leave the fence ?, jock that was disgraceful & if he was not quizzed by the stewards that is even worse, if i were running the show 3-6 months for an incompetant drive

i dont think it was pulling but even if it was, it wasn't pulling 300 metres later as they hit the 600 metre mark, i'll add why wouldn't he halfcart then ? it was a disgrace fullstop

MIXED WITH A TWIST was only beaten a length
Length of the straight !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I must admit that I am surprised how a very talented driver could
drive as he did today.
He is too good a driver not to have reason/reasons for driving like that.
Maybe HOOCH is right, but on face value it was not a good drive.
Cost me $$$$$$
But in the long run Jock will drive well 95% of the time
I can excuse him today.

Now and again JOCK loses the plot when he needs a jelly bean fix to help his sugar levels and clear thinking. Maybe this was 1 of those times.

Welcome Steve Papas but surely you're not thinking LUI could organise or workout whats happening on the track. He struggles with his lunch order.

Bayman - I was thinking the same thing at the time...
I've spoken to a few people who were at Globe and they reckon Jock said the horse was pulling very hard and he thought it was going to choke down - so he came off fence.. I think it was a pretty bad drive - but if that was the case I understand why he came off the fence (yes it cost me money!!)

scd, if this is correct well that is different as safety is first & foremost paramount, but he still could have half carted & this is not personal i like jock even if he is a port man !! but on face value it was an ordinary drive

HALF CARTED FOR SAFETY?????????????????????
YOU BLOKES
ARE ON ANOTHER PLANNET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
IF YOU HALF CART YOU'D SLAM STRAIGHT INTO THE WHEEL.
THAT'S WHY MY MATE THAT STARTED ME OFF BETTING JUST OVER A YEAR AGO SAID "stevie" only follow the late MAL the rest havent got a clue!
BRING ON THE MATCH RACE.................................
P.S. give scd and bayman a puller like them so they can haf cart, and see what happens! i'll tell ya now, they'll hit the DECK!

Not good talking to yourself "Stevie"... Can you define the "rest" who haven't got a clue...
As for Half Carting..
I have never said it's a good thing - either be in or out (one or the other I hope - on the track or on Hanson Rd).. apart from the saftey issue - I hate horses half carting and stopping the momentum of other horses out wider on the track..

I saw a drive today on a winner and thought it was a poor tactical drive.

Stevie not wrapping myself up but i'm tipping i've got more winners under the belt then yourself but your right i'm not out there disgracing myself like some of the retards that you were sticking up for before, anyone that goes to the front @ the 400 then gets run down by the one behind it or smashes into wheels as though they had big FU##*** RED TARGETS on them, then goes home and says to themself "well did nothing wrong tonight horse wasn't good enough" should be certified and rammed with the rough end of a pineapple. Stevie not a genious mate but just stating the obvious and couldnt agree more with you about L Trotta how would you feel after the race, especially if you owned it and before the race LOUI'S labelling it and you've just done your nuts and the stablemate shits in!!! Good training performance that one!!!

WHY DID HE STAY ON THE FENCE ?
BAD BOY NITRO had an eternity to come of the fence and sit in the death seat
and win this race in my opinion.
HILL stayed on the fence[I think he was mixed with a twist of fate!]
Imagine if the horse had to use the sprint lane and was too late
The horse won, thats all that matters
