gawler dogs to lose bookie

i believe that mals mate peter dammarrell is set to quit betting on the dogs at gawler in the next few weeks leaving no bookie at the track & the likelihood of no one replacing him, it is/will be a business decision as his turnover is poor

now i understand this but if he bets anything like he does at the trots its no wonder, as at the trots he bets 150% minimum & usually about 170%

do you guys (mal or mt79 etc) know anything ?

Your on the ball BAYMAN
Peter Dammerell will evaulate his situation at Gawler dogs.
The word is at the end of July if turnover does not improve
that he MIGHT give it away.
He has been propping up the Gawler meetings for a considerable time.

Also could spell the END of any Benefits the club receives from ON COURSE tote turnover as i Know 3 tote Punters that Regularly attend and use the Bookies markets to invest Substantial turnover through the tote will certainly STOP Attending. :( :( :(

well its no wonder he doesnt hold any money when the markets he puts up are around the 160% mark, its hard to find any overs.

but I guess he will do what he does at angle park wednesday meetings and will still go to Gawler when a big meeting is on........

No Bookie = substantial loss of turnover
Those 3 guys who pump an inordinate sum of moneys thru the
tote will go missing as a result
Flash Eddie and the Chardonnay crew will be whining.

Up to GRSA to protect thier on course patronage and put
a support package to the Bookmaker perhaps ???????????

i think the GRSA will notice the drop in on-course turn-over at Gawler with no bookie pretty much as soon as it has happens.

I mean the bookie should bet prices that are more competitive with the tote.

Maybe provide other betting options rather then the win/concession....

I actually thought the bookie would have rolled up to Angle Park on wednesday morning for the heats of the Champion Puppy...
